Hey all,

I heard about blueprint off of a google search a while back and
absolutely loved the idea. Fast forward a few weeks and I'm in
development on a new blueprint site.

So Im looking for some good designs created in / for blueprint
and I'd REALLY love to see some blueprint driven css typography

Anyone have any suggestions?

i was pretty unhappy with blueprint's default type stuffs, too, so i
created a tripoli plugin:

http://blueprintcss.googlegroups.com/web/reset.css
http://blueprintcss.googlegroups.com/web/tripoli.css

i find it a better starting point.

my screen.css looks like:

/* --------------------------------------------------------------

Blueprint CSS Framework Screen Styles
* Version: 0.6 (21.9.2007)
* Website: http://code.google.com/p/blueprintcss/
See Readme file in this directory for further instructions.

-------------------------------------------------------------- */

@import 'lib/reset.css';
@import 'lib/grid.css';
@import 'lib/forms.css';

/* Plugins:
Additional functionality can be found in the plugins directory.
See the readme files for each plugin. Example:
*/

@import 'plugins/tripoli/reset.css';
@import 'plugins/css-classes/css-classes.css';
@import 'plugins/tripoli/tripoli.css';
@import 'plugins/padding/padding.css';
@import 'plugins/tables/tables.css';
@import 'plugins/buttons/buttons.css';
@import 'plugins/forms/forms.css';

I think you are making a mistake with the order you are using. For one
thing, two reset.css files is a bit much, but even if you have to have
them, they should go one right after the other.

The structure in screen.css is designed for doing blueprint core, then
blueprint plugins, but if you are going to use Tripoli core, then I
recommend figuring out which tripoli files override which blueprint
files and putting them one right after the other. Otherwise you might
be overriding more than you should (which wastes time on the rendering
side, of course).

i have thought about this some, and i didn't come to the decision
lightly

i decided that i like it the way it is, for these reasons:

a) i don't much care if it takes .0000203103 seconds longer. i know
i'm supposed to, but i don't.

b) tripoli's reset works well where it is, and it's not killing off
the grid.

c) it's a plugin --- it is optional to blueprint, so if i remove
tripoli, i still need resetting to happen.

i realize it's a bit more overhead, but it works for me.

:D
