This is a really useful application. It can be used for so much more
than calculating picture sizes. It can be used for many things such as
calculating VAT, calculating percentages, adjusting amounts when
scaling a recipe etc. If I were to make any changes I would make it
possible to enter a number in any three of the boxes, leaving one of
the top boxes empty if required. I would also change its name to Ratio
Calculator.

I wrote an almost exactly similar calculator years ago, that runs on
Windows, and use it at least once a week. Incidentally I have never
yet used it for print sizes.

Congratulations and thanks,

Hello
I found your app on google play, and I found it very useful. So I would like contribute with my ideas to enhance this app.
I joined two files to show how "Aspect Ratio Calculator" could be better. In the first, you can see that I have write "width" and "height" on the side of the box to constantly see this information.
On the right there's a button "sizes" and cliking on it, appear a list of the most used sizes in video. It is useful to accelerate the manipulation instead of write all manually (see the second file joined).

In the second part I would like to see a button "closer to x16" and maybe "closer to x8", The function of this button is to find the number closer to a multiple of 16, because many compressions (like h264) works better with a number of pixel witch is a multiple of 16.
For example: I start with a picture of 1920x1080 and I would like obtain a picture of 800 pixel width, clicking on "calculate" the result is for the height "450", it is not a multiple of 16, the closer multiple of 16 of 450 is 448. Is it possible make a button that provide this function?

Have a nice day.
Sirio

Hi there Sirio,

Very much appreciate the effort you've gone to for this. We will definitely look into implementing something along these lines for the next version.

Kindest Regards, and have a great day,
