MSD 6A w/tach adapter - Is anyone running one?

Is anyone running a MSD 6A with a tach adapter? I'm running out of
days to get my car running for Summit Point. I've got power, but no
spark. I'll be going over the wiring diagrams tonight, but I may
have questions. If you might be able to help with a question please PM me.

I just don't see what an MSD does for you that a simple black box dizzy doesn't.
If it were me, I'd delete that sucker and wire things up the way it's supposed to be.

I trust there's some use for that MSD box but someone will have to 'splain' it to me.

Exactly! Just like the Mallory setup in my car, if it uses the electronic distributor as the trigger, how much are you getting from the big red box compared to the small box if it just fires the coil? 🤔

I used one once on a turbo car because you could get a boost dependent spark retard. Otherwise, it seems like you are fixing something that wasn't broken to begin with. Just use the black box.
