Hello everyone,
I'm trying to track down a replacement for the seal that lives at the end of the steering arm where it connects to the centre link.
I'm having a hell of a time finding anything here in Australia (knowing the correct name or part number doesn't help), and frankly, I'm not sure it's even sold as a part by itself, separately from the centre link.
By chance, my wife is in the USA for the next two weeks, so could bring one back with her, if I could find them stateside.
Picture attached. Rough dimensions are
ID - 15mm
Major OD - 42mm
Minor OD - 33mm
Height - 12mm

Any help most appreciated!

Your pictures didn't show up, but if you're talking about the boot on center link there really isn't a replacement. But I've used a random ball joint boot as a replacement. After 50 years the boots tend to turn to tar. I collected a bunch of boots from random ball joints and tie rods and just put the one that fit on.
Nothing special here.

Angus,

I believe the part # is 48577-13200. Out of production!

I would think you might be able to use a set of calipers to measure the dimensions of the old rotted unit and possibly find something close at the McMaster-Carr equivalent down under.

That looks like a flanged lip seal. You might be able to use a regular oil seal (lip type seal).
Check mcmaster.com (mcmaster carr).
Or find other seal suppliers.

Lol, that's what is I'd to repair a rag joint years ago.
