I was surfing the net researching bellhousing compatibility when I came upon this South African 4x4 website.
Their research claims that the Z-KA and VG all have the same bellhousing. I had never heard of this as I was always told that the VG was different. I have never actually tried one to see one way or the other.
What say you? Are they just wrong? Different VG in South Africa? Some weird variation makes this true?

Also mentions an adapter plate on CA series. I have never seen this. Another South African anomaly?

Rear Wheel Drive, the way God intended.
If a car is being pulled from the front, doesn't that mean it's being towed?

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

One more interesting tidbit I found in there about VG30 transmissions, sounds like the z31 turbo gearbox is a somewhat desirable box for RB folks. Also "bakkie" means pickup if anyone is confused.

VG30 bakkie box,300zx turbo and RB25det (fatbox) are all the same gearboxes except for minor differences and the different bellhousings Between VG and RB. So if u have a VG30 bakkie box u actually have the expensive RB fatbox but with the incorrect bell housing. etc.
RB non turbo gearboxes (thin box) (skyline R30,R31,R32,R33) are all the same as the SR, CA, KA, L series(6cylinder) Z24(bakkie box) there are minor differences here and there like length and bell housings etc but still the same box in the end.

I assume they are talking about the FS5R30A "fatbox". Useful for holding all of the HPs and Torques.😁
