Coaches and Parents.

We have an interesting situation with OM accounting this year.  Your opinion is very important to decide on next steps with the surplus money, since school has decided not to be the keeper/decision maker of OM funds any more.This year we may have approximately $3000 reserve in our OM funds - about $1500 came from last year surplus and $1500 probable left over from this year account.  We will know the  exact figure by mid June, when we will have year end account closure from FUSD.

As you know we have two teams going to the world final this year and both the teams have been working extremely hard to do fund raising  and have been able to raise approximately $2500 so far.  They still need  about $2500 more to cover the total  registration cost for both teams.

On the other hand, Mr Mann ( school teacher for OM program) has expressed interest to attend world final with the teams, ONLY if parents are willing to help fund for his travel cost. Approximate cost of which will be between $2000-$2500( including subs for 4 days). School doesn't have any OM funds from FUSD budget to sponsor his Travel cost.

We would like to hear your opinion with respect to the following options to use the surplus OM money:

- Option 1:  return surplus money equally to all OM 2012-13 participants ( 113 of them )
- Option 2:  use surplus money to cover world final team registration for both the teams going to the world
- Option 3:  use surplus money to sponsor Mr Mann (Sc Teacher of WS) as school representative.

Coaches - pls send your team's opinion response to wsj...@yahoo.com after consultation with team parents.

We will honor the option expressed by majority of the OM Participants this year and will release the results together (with all email responses at the end, in case if any parent want to know detailed responses by specific teams) on 4th May. Only Coach to respond (cc all team parents) to this email with team decision in below format after consultation with entire team parents.

Pls respond in the following format by 3rd May to help us decide on next steps which will be communicated to all OM parents on 4th May. If we don't hear from you/your team by 3rd May 2013, we will assume your team will accept final majority decision. Pls voice your opinion timely as appropriate by 3rd May.. Your opinion is very important for us to make this important OM Funding decision.
