This is very cool and exciting.  At long last the Pinnacles remodeling has begun.  Please share with all  those who regularly use Pinnacles.

Hal,

I thought you would appreciate seeing the beginning photos of the work now underway with the Pinnacles project.  The material selections made for the interior this week are going to be a dramatic improvement.

Happy Pinnacles Day!

It give me great pleasure to inform you that work on Pinnacles has begun!

The historic windows were removed earlier this month. The photos below show the windows at the restoration studio, where HOPE Crew members, supervised by historic restoration specialist David Logan, are stripping and restoring them. That work will extend into December.

Earlier this week, the old, asbestos-laden counter tops were removed from Pinnacles. We had to have a contractor do that before the general contract work can begin.

Also earlier this week, Andrew Vinisky accompanied Ann Kain to the showroom of our general contractor, to select new flooring, counter tops, ceiling fans, etc. for the building. Our general contractor, Golden Rule Builders, will begin work the first week of December.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation (which operates the HOPE Crews) is hosting a media event at David Logan's studio on Winchester at 11:00 on Tuesday, December 2. Jess and/or I will be there. Please let me know if you would like to be there, too.

Don’t hold your breath!  The White Oak Cabin which would be used as back-up is still not completed.
