Great reminder, Joanna. We love Dharma and Greg, too, and George is a genius character. There are direct parallels between Native American beliefs and Druid ones; I guess all Pagan societies intuited similar things.

You may have heard the saying that prayer is when we talk to God, but meditation is when we get quiet and listen to the answer. I've always liked that.

The Moon is a part of our everyday lives. It moves through the sky above and looks down upon us always. The Moon is also an important part of our spiritual lives, and I created these five prayers to commemorate the fiver well-known lunar phases, namely:

I felt more connected with both sides of myself almost immediately. It was very powerful, and integrative. She said a prayer while smudging my entire body, front and back with the smoking copal incense with her hands, and wishing protection over me.

I felt excited. I looked up at the brick inner dome. It was so beautifully constructed, looked handmade. The floor was a smoothed concrete almost like marble. Vania came in and Judy began bringing to her hot rocks from the fire as Vania used two deer antlers to place the rocks of white limestone (which is common in the Yucatan) into the pit. For each rock, she smeared a stick of copal across it as it simmered against the hot surface.

I prayed he would get out as my mind cringed at the idea of him being trapped there and burned alive. Finally, Vania noticed him too and got him out with the help of the antler. She placed him out of the Temazcal doorway and saved him. I felt so relieved and even more confident in her character.

We ended the healing Temazcal ceremony with a closing prayer to the Abuelitas. Then we exited the Temazcal in a clockwise direction as we poured a bowl of refreshing cold water on our heads and knelt down to the entrance saying thank you in Mayan (ask Vania for the saying).

Further sources give variant lists of the nine animal resemblances. Sinologist Henri Doré [fr] lists these characteristics of an authentic dragon: "The antlers of a deer. The head of a crocodile. A demon's eyes. The neck of a snake. A tortoise's viscera. A hawk's claws. The palms of a tiger. A cow's ears. And it hears through its horns, its ears being deprived of all power of hearing". He notes that, "Others state it has a rabbit's eyes, a frog's belly, a carp's scales".[19]

Based on the traditional medicine stick used by Native Americans, you will manifest your goal or intention or prayer in a unique piece of art. We use shed antlers from native deer and various materials (yarn, beads, string, charms, stones, etc.). The options are endless. A mindful activity in which you enjoy the company of friends, the energy of the space, and the power of nature to put forth your

Learn to harness the energy of your mind. You will create a pendulum using crystals, beads, and other materials and then learn how to focus your energy and control the movement of the pendulum. It is meditation manifested. And very cool. (1.5 hours)
