I really like the song of Shippuden's second opening, but in the full song the vocals sound different. Like, not as powerful, or something. Why did they do this? Isn't there a version where the vocals are more like in the opening?
The anime, being a TV show that has lasted many seasons, has many opening and ending themes. These themes have been from original Japanese songs, but they have been edited to fit within a 90 second opening sequence by TV Tokyo. The average usage for openings are around 25 episodes with some exceptions: the final opening for Naruto (Swaying) and the 12th opening for Boruto (Karma); while the endings can be up to 12 episodes with some exceptions: the first two endings for Naruto (Wind and Harmonia) and first for Naruto: Shippūden (Shooting Star Shooting Star). i suspect also the 4Kids version which for the Naruto Poison scene, Naruto is complaining about dropping his lunch, may also have a different opening however i actuly have never seen that (however i hear it notorious since it changes so much)
Since Naruto's 1st season has 35 episodes (according to Wikipedia), it makes sense that there are 3 different openings: the 1st season of Naruto is a roughly-3-season show, meaning that there will be 3 different openings.
If you meant "Why not forget about having different OPs in the first place?" as your question, it's hard to answer. It could be that production studios might want to inject some variety into the series, so that people don't get bored of watching the same opening 10, 20, or even 30 times.
"Closer" (stylized as "CLOSER") is the second single by Japanese-American recording artist Joe Inoue. Naruto may have ended years ago, but these opening songs still play in our minds when we remember the fond memories we had watching each episode. Since the series spanned decades, it had bundles of music for you to blast in your car while studying or sing aloud like you're in a karaoke booth in Japan, albeit in horrible Japanese.
Every Naruto fan (or anime fan in general) knows when an opening is one that will be remembered forever, and we're going to go through each one to decide which will take the top spot for the best Naruto opening, ranked on song as well as the impact it had during the series.
The singer's smooth vocals are nice on the ears, but it isn't the best song to introduce a show about ninjas and action-packed scenes. Also, since most don't know about it besides those who watched it after Naruto aired, it's one of the least-watched openings.
"Swaying" was sung by Hearts Grow and was the opening for episodes 203 to 220. We're continuing this list with the last Naruto opening, a stylish one where Naruto fights against himself, Rock Lee, and various ninjas with some impressive taijutsu. Because this ending hints at Naruto leaving the village with Jiraiya to become stronger, it holds significance.
"Re:member" was sung by FLOW and was the opening for episodes 179 to 202. Most barely remember this opening as it happened during the filler arcs as well as after the final fight between Naruto and Sasuke. However, FLOW is always a welcoming band to hear in the anime community.
It's a shame because the song and visuals are good. The opening mainly focuses on each team and the powers they have, as well as Naruto moving forward on his path to grow stronger and bring Sasuke back to the village. Since the previous openings had a more somber tone, this was a nice change.
"No Boy, No Cry" was sung by Stance Punks and was the opening for episodes 129 to 153. This opening takes place right after Sasuke decided to leave the village and join Orochimaru. "Wind and Waves Sattelite" was sung by Snowkel and was the opening for episodes 154 to 178. Here we have the Konoha 11 (or Konoha 10 because Sasuke isn't there) supporting each other in a time where they need it the most. The accent colors used for each character, especially orange for Naruto and hot pink for Sakura, compliment the opening as well as the song's beat.
The song is pleasant to hear. It isn't that energetic but it also isn't slow. The opening cycles through the memories from the entire 1st season such as Tsunade kissing Naruto's forehead and Naruto and Sasuke's fight. The style coupled with the memories throughout place this opening at #5.
"Turning Sadness into Kindness" was sung little by little and was the opening for episodes 54 to 77. Mostly ignored for the high-pitched vocals of the lead singer, this opening is one of importance. The name itself is fit for a character like Naruto as well as the message it sends with each frame.
It displays Naruto, Gaara, Neji and Hinata all in the same boat of loneliness as well as a time when Sakura and Ino used to be best friends. This is also the second opening that shows all of the teams and their leaders.
"GO" was sung by FLOW and was the opening for episodes 78 to 103. This is the opening that made "Fighting Dreamers" a slogan for the series. This opening introduces Sasuke's black outfit we only see for the chuunin exams, displays Jiraiya's perverted tendencies, and shows the Akatsuki.
The opening has 2 versions as well: one with Tsunade and one without her. Because of all of the information, as well as the catchy tune and chorus being mainly in English, this opening has captured the hearts of many Naruto fans and remains a beloved theme song sung to this day.
"Rhapsody of Youth" was sung by Sambomaster and was the opening for episodes 104 to 128 as well as the Sasuke Retrieval Team arc. If there was ever an opening that needed to set the mood for a final battle back in the day, this would be it. Far Away is the Naruto opening that most anime watchers recognize by the first couple of seconds of the song as well as deem the 1st official opening to overseas fans.
It covers the chuunin exams. It introduces the other teams. Most importantly, it gets you excited for what's to come in the story which is the most important thing an opening needs to do. With these details backing it up, Far Away takes the 1# spot for the best Naruto song.
10th op: Newsong < We Are! Remix: omg this is by far the hardest one, i mean like both are super good openings. I love Newsong, it is just so fun to watch and so wacky yet charming, like come on it has Naruto and his friends and dancing intercut with team 7 flying while fighting the Akatsuki, just so fun. While the Remix of We Are sounds amazing and i love the beat and the visuals and the singing just everything about it. So I give We Are Remix the slight win.
14th op: Tsuki no Ookisa < Fight Together: i mean i feel bad for Tsuki for being against the best One Piece op but hey it is still pretty good, it is just against one of the best openings ever so that was unfortunate.
