So I'd at least like to take answers to the above back to them, and if anyone else want to chime in thats fine - I'll read. I'd just assume not hear the (B is better because A didn't work for me but B did). Responses like that rarely come from competent users, and taking advice from incompetent users is foolish.
Vero and I have been long time 1Password users. We have had many hundreds of requests for native 1Password integration into Alfred. With these two things combined, it felt very natural to add native 1Password integration into Alfred. At no point have we ever done any product placement in either Alfred or our website, for 1Password or any other app.

On the flip side, this is the first time both Vero and I have heard of Roboform, and the first time anyone has asked for integration into Alfred. As such, it's extremely unlikely that this will be natively integrated into Alfred. Having said that, you could still create a fantastic workflow which works exactly how the 1Password one works. If you need help with this, you could pop a request in the Workflow help forum.
It's somewhat offtopic to this forum, but i'm also totally puzzled by almost complete ignorance of the Roboform in the apple community. As a password manager it is a very solid solution, and there are areas where it is better than 1password. Myself i've been using 1password once i switched to mac and i can see that 1password is lot more "mac-y" but still i can't understand why roboform is not mentioned at least half as much as 1password.
KeePass says to export passcards by going to the Roboforms editor, then hit 'Print List' -> 'Passcards'). In the dialog that opens, click the 'Save' button. Choose a location and file name, and click 'Save'. - There is no save button. The only option I see is print, no save button. I tried going into the printer options, there is a save file option there but only for a print file not an html file. I tired but won't work. There is an export in the menu Options - User Data - Export but that only exports the websites and not the passcards and KeePass won't open that file when I try to import it.
I hope this clarifys everything. It took me about three hours to work out how to do all this! I have been using RoboForm for years, but it often now fails to autofill in certain browsers(I use the amazing "Maxthon").
In researching this on other sites I have found that it is not possible to export Roboform's passcards with version 7. Siber Systems took out this option when 7 came out. They also stripped the option out of version 6.10. The only way to export now it to downgrade to version 6.9.3 That version is still on their site to download.
Not sure why KeePass hasn't picked up on this. I see from another question here that someone had this same problem back in May and never got an answer. Would have saved me hours of trying and research had KeePass been up on it.
There is a save to file button now but I'm back to where I started. The save to file button doesn't work. I get an error message when I try to save. I had dreichi (Dominik) test it and he got the same error. Guess I'll have to wait for Roboform to fix it or roll back to the version 6.9.3.
I am also having problems importing logins from roboform . my roboform version is 7.9.1.1 and keepass version 2.23. I am able to generate htm file from roboform but it is not being imported into keepass using steps listed here
_roboform
Roboform generates a print list which I am able to save as html file. Additionally roboform gives an option of saving in font sizes 6 to 18 and column 1 to 6. will changing the font or column help ? keepass just fails to import the html file while it can be viewed in the browser clearly.
Thanks for the help, Dominik. I am not complaining, I got it to work and now I have my passcards on my Android 4.3 device, which was the point of the exercise in the first place. So I am a satisfied customer. Thanks for the good work.
I just used Chris Raisin 2013-12-04 procedure from above and it works great, as advertised. I am using Roboform v7.9.2.2 and had no issues. The only slowdown was having to create a new database in Keepass and import the RoboForm HTML file into the new database. The import feature in Keepass is greyed out until a new empty database is created.
I can not import from RF. I've created the html file from with in RF. When I try to import it in to KP via Import->Roboform HTML I get the progress bar and then after a few seconds I get an error message, "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." See the attached png file. Any ideas?????
About a week ago, Firefox suddenly stopped prompting for passwords and no long autofills passwords. I tried rolling back to v. 63, but it still won't work. If I go into options and check "ask to save logins and passwords," it works as long as Firefox is open. But as soon as I close Firefox, the option is no longer checked.
All my passwords as still there in Firefox, but they will no longer autofill. This literally started about a week ago and I have made NO changes to my computer. I do use Roboform, but I have used it alongside Firefox for many years with no issues. I did log out of Roboform, but Firefox passwords still did not work.
Well, I spoke too soon. CRAP! When I reinstalled Roboform, I was back at square one. Before, I had just disabled it which you think would work. But once it was actually REMOVED from the Extensions, things went back to normal.
So, now we know that for some odd reason after many - at least 7 - years of using Roboform with Firefox, two weeks ago, they decided to stop working together. I can't remember, but was v.64.0 of Firefox released about that time?????
Google Chrome users who contacted RoboForm Support said last year that a RoboForm update disabled the browser password manager. See: !msg/chrome/jmAiQ5qlz1U/jNysPeAlAgAJRoboform update and now has disabled Chrome password save.
You say that you must now uninstall RoboForm to enable the Firefox Password Manager since disabling RoboForm doesn't work. It might have been another RoboForm update that disables the Firefox Password Manager as long as RoboForm is installed. I don't know about the RoboForm application but, according to -US/firefox/addon/roboform/ the last RoboForm extension update (Version 8.5.5.5) was released Dec. 21, 2018. RoboForm Support is available here, if you want more information:
I will ask at the RoboForm forums if anyone else had this issue after the last update. However, I made note of when this started and it was December 14th. I didn't track down what was going on for a couple of weeks. and the last Firefox update was released on December 11th. Who knows. All I know is that everything works just fine in Edge... But I miss my Firefox which I've used since 2004!
Thanks, cor-el. I posted to RoboForm and they responded that it is THEY who have disabled this just like they did with Chrome last year. Kind of a crock, if you ask me. I've moved to Edge where things work just fine together... until they decide to bollux that up too.
Certain conflicts arose between RoboForm and Firefox's built-in password manager when saving and filling forms, so we used the possibility offered by Firefox to block its own password manager to avoid collisions and confusion.Users are supposed to have either of the two at a time, not both.
The decision to replace the built-in browser password manager with RoboForm was made following the careful consideration of both end user and reviewer feedback. Such a setting modification is standard among modern password managers and is enabled by major browsers. In addition to browser password managers being less secure than RoboForm, receiving autosave password prompts from both the browser and RoboForm proved to be an added inconvenience. With that being said, while we cannot provide an ETA, we are still investigating the feasibility of simultaneously offering both options.
Hi everyone,Thanks for putting me on the right track with this problem. :-)I was puzzled by this issue too, and I'm also a Roboform user on my PC. It's also installed on the "family" Windows 7 computer, where my wife and I and the children all have separate logins.I found that if I disabled the Roboform extension for one of the children's logins, the Firefox setting "ask to save logins and passwords for websites" on his login would remain ticked, and the autofill function would work correctly.(He probably doesn't need to use a more powerful password manager yet, as he's only 10 and has just 3 logins.)I'd rather have the option of using both, and have a warning appear when both are enabled, but the aforementioned workaround does the trick for now.
It's RoboForm. I posted on their forums and the responded with some wishy-washy answer about a conflict. Well, no... there was no conflict. So, I've just moved over to using Edge, much as I hated to. No problems there until RoboForm decides to screw that up too.
Thanks Draclvr. :-)Interestingly, Roboform can't find any forms to fill in when I use it to login to this support forum, and I have to drag the username and password from a Roboform window and drop them into the appropriate boxes. But that's a problem for the Roboform people to answer, of course. :-)As I said earlier, Firefox Lockwise looks interesting, and in any case, I'll probably abandon Windows for Linux when W7 becomes unsupported. (And keep using Firefox, of course! :-) )
Just a heads-up. This thread was created on January 3, 2019. Support questions are automatically locked (archived), 180 days from the creation date. Since this thread is almost six months old and about to be locked, I would suggest starting a new thread if more help is needed.
RoboForm is a password generation and management tool released and continuously updated since 2000. It provides a method to store and generate passwords, autofill forms, and manage passwords across multiple devices.
Early versions of RoboForm contain a weakness in their password generation routine that allows the regeneration of any passwords that had been generated in the past. While RoboForm's passwords appear to be random, they are actually deterministic based on the current system time.
