Dear Elxsian,

Superlative visual effects and animation work for Tamil blockbuster ‘Anniyan’ earned Tata Elxsi’s Visual Computing Labs (VCL) the Silver Lotus National Award for Best Special Effects at the 53rd Indian national film awards. Anniyan directed by S Shankar (of ‘Gentleman’ movie fame) stars Vikram, Prakash Raj, Sada, and Vivek.

Pankaj Khandpur, Creative Director, VCL will receive the award from Hon.President Pratibha Patil at 6.30 pm today, September 14, 2007.

Watch live telecast of the award ceremony at 6.30 pm on Doordarshan.
