One Year Software Development Training Program

Hi Everyone,
After experimenting with different types of study groups at Jaaga we have put together a one year program to help people become solid software professionals. This program is residential and takes place on the new Jaaga farm campus on Kanakapura Rd. near the Valley School and the Art of Living ashram. During this program people learn Android, Html / CSS, Server side programming in PHP, Python and / or Ruby and get experience with Linux. During the program people spend part of the day studying online classes from Stanford, Harvard and MIT and then part of the day working together in groups on open source startups. We also do yoga, play ping pong, and fly a quadcopter.
There are no upfront fees for the program. We ask people to pay 5000 rs a month to cover their food and living expenses and then we ask people to commit to paying 1 lakh into the program when they graduate and start earning money as professional software developers.
The program has been operating for over 2 months now and is going great. We have people at a variety of skill levels in the program. The more junior people get upto speed with a solid foundation in software development and more experienced people take the time to deepen their skills learning new frameworks and technologies.
