New Parents Group

Hi everyone! The New and Expectant Parents Group run by me, Britt, of Blossoming Bellies, is tomorrow (Wednesday) from 11 to 12 at Cloth, 1605 E. Passyunk Ave in South Philly.

We are meeting the third Wednesday of this month rather than the last and this will be the last group until September. All are welcome and of course that includes babies ; $5 suggested donation per family. Feel free to spread the word!

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend an awesome nanny?  I've looked at various agencies but I'm hoping to get a personal referral.  It would be a full-time job caring for one child who is 14 months old right now.  It would be starting in mid August with some paid holidays and some paid vacation time too!

Hi all, 

I have worked as a nanny and in early child care for many goodness many years, in between political campaigns, and law school. I have come across and befriended some amazing nannies. 

Currently I know of one who is starting to look for a great family to work with, Colleen Siegle. I would love to help match her as I believe she has the overall mentality, compassion, experience, professionalism, and patience, suited to help care for your loved one. Plus I got to really get to know her as I cared for a little one for over 16 months recently.

I think you just search for it and then there's a button to request to join and there's a brief questionnaire and then you submit that and wait for the admin to approve, which could take a couple of days.  There are TONS of emails on it though so you may want to opt for a daily or weekly digest when setting it up so as not to be overwhelmed by the volume.
