Hello Brittany!
My name is Antonia Puma and I am a first year medical student at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I am currently working with a group called Medical Students for Masks. Since the COVID-19 pandemic has been wreaking havoc on the healthcare system and challenging stores of personal protective equipment, we have been collecting donations to purchase and provide PPE to frontline healthcare workers. Since we began, we have raised over $50,000, 100% of which has gone to hospitals in the greater Philadelphia area!
Recently, the hospitals we have been working with have been requesting donations of video baby monitors. Video monitoring will allow clinicians to communicate with their patients while decreasing the amount of high-risk interactions and conserve PPE.
I am reaching out to you to ask for your help in providing these video baby monitors. If you have any you are able to spare, please consider donating them to us! We all need to support one another during this time, and this is one way we can do just that.
