I was out for a walk when your message arrived.

WRT a web tool for selecting a restaurant: have a look at this app:

It would need a "home", some configuration (populating the database) and
enhancement (so its 1.0)..

I also found a number of references to restaurantselector.net. It
appears that the startup behind the site failed or moved on...
