South Central ArtsWORK At Bloomington City Hall on Sept. 27 from
5:30-7 p.m. in the McCloskey Conference Room presenting the Art of
Business by Noel Niehaus of the new Ivy Tech Cook Entrepreneurial
Center will talk about starting an arts-related business and discuss
how the Cook Center works with artist entrepreneurs.
Creative Aging Festival - May 2012
The Bloomington Creative Aging Festival will happen in May of 2012 in
conjunction with Older Americans Month. Organizations that choose to
adopt the creative aging theme during the month of May in 2012 can
submit their events to: http://bloomington.in.gov/coa starting Oct.
1st. The Writers Guild worked with Bell Trace last year to produce a
reading of poetry by Bell Trace poets at the IU Art Museum along with
tours by senior Docents. It was a very nice event, well attended. This
is the type of thing anyone can come up with an idea for and be
creative about it, combine with other groups, etc.
