There they meet a grown woman, who knows all of their names, how to cook Boy Salad, and who wears a fishbowl as a hat. Max continues to try to use his secret code to find out if the lair was bugged. It is then revealed that the grown woman is Harper from the future. The adult Harper has come from the future, with the help of a very powerful wizard. She writes about the secrets that Alex has told her, because in her adult time, Max, it is assumed, has revealed wizards, so she writes in their time because it is much more interesting for her readers. Max and Justin yank out a piece of paper from Harper's typewriter they believe to be a new story (it was actually a list of ingredients for snickerdoodles), and Justin scratches his cornea. Future Harper and Alex talk, as where she asks "You seem sad. Did you break up with Mason?" And Alex asks, "Who's Mason?" Alex becomes angry because she didn't give Harper permission to use her stories. She leaves, and Harper gives Justin the mission to convince Alex to let Harper use her story, making him a future-naut.

- There's always one author who sticks out above all others and makes a big impression on a fandom with their amazingly detailed and well-written stories; for Wizards of Waverly Place, that author is omens. Focusing on Justin/Alex fics, omens crafts tales that not only seem plausible for our favorite sibling pair, but downright probable. Granted a topic like incest is easy to butcher and make sound silly and forced, but omens' stories flow naturally and flawlessly. Anyone interested in the Jalex fandom will find no better place to start than here.
Wizards of Waverly Place is a unique show, so it was important that the creators of the show found the perfect group of people and location for the show. One of the earlier locations that was considered was Ireland. Ireland is a country full of interesting heritage and locations that would have been a great place to film. However, the producers settled on New York City, as it was more relatable to US viewers. New York City is filled with people who have unique backgrounds and interesting stories to tell just like the Russo family.
Of course, the Russo family ended up owning the "Waverly Sub Station." This sandwich shop is where everyone in the family worked, and it was a place where they could all be together. The Russo family were originally going to own a magic shop, which would make sense since more than half of the family are wizards. However, the Sub Shop gave them a good cover as they appeared as a normal, working family. When Max lost his powers, his parents told him that they wanted him to take over the Sub Shop when he was older.
I am trying to write that my protagonist is going to learn magic at an imaginary place where the most powerful wizards live. But the journey to that place isn't easy. And he will face a lot of difficulties on that journey.

Because there's so many books and movies and shows that include media that just include this witchcraft and sorcery. So here are a few questions that I think are important for us to ask ourselves as we're considering the media that we allow our children to consume. Now, the first question that I think we should ask is, does this story take place in a magical land or does it take place here on earth? Because when we think about Narnia, middle earth, the land of fairy tales, these are all fictitious places. So when a fairy godmother appears out of nowhere in the story of Cinderella, it's not leading our kids to believe that we're actually going to have a fairy godmother appear out of nowhere and go poof, and we're going to be ready for the ball. It's just in a pretend land. So stories like that, stories like Narnia, stories like The Hobbit or the Lord of the Rings, fairy tales, they're not necessarily encouraging the practice of magic or witchcraft because they're taking place in another land.
