Hi. I'd like to know if there's a way to stay in the same server as your friends when switching worlds. My friend and I were in my private server I barely got yesterday, and we wanted to grind in the ghost world together, but when we traveled to the ghost world... we were in two different private worlds. We tried to join one another again, but it still happened. I want to know if anyone has found a way to be in the same worlds.. (not good at explaining, I hope you all can understand me tho;;)

When you switch worlds within a VIP server you are sent to a solo server where no one can join you. Because of how Roblox works a VIP server only extends to the first server it creates (the main hub) and because of this VIP servers used to just send players to public other servers when they went to other worlds. To fix this issue for players wanting to grind alone in private, the devs changed how the teleporting worked to function as solo servers. If you want to play with your friend you can do it in a public server, or just in the main hub in VIP servers.

By the numbers, ghost hunting is more efficient if you are efficiently working with only one other person in a private server (or just any server where you can convince people to not mess with what you two are going after), collaborating on the largest ghosts primarily and solo-ing the second largest ghosts separate from each other while waiting for large ghosts to respawn. (Method video here: =322) Gains between 3k to 4k an hour on average

It is also more efficient to casually ghost hunt in a public server with other players if you do not own faster flying gamepass and don't have someone you can work with and/or the private server; gains 1k to 1.5k an hour on average. If you have faster flying but don't have a friend/VIP server, then trick-or-treating will be more efficient; 1k to 2k an hour on average, way more luck dependent than ghost hunting on how much you get though but you don't at all have to worry about other people.

Anytime I input a command nothing works, ghost, god, forcetame, etc.. it does not work on my personal offline game and it does not work on the private server that I play on anymore. I tried resetting my game, resetting my internet, I deleted my game and downloaded the game again. Nothing seem to be working. Any advice or tip to get it working again? This is on my XBOX 1 console.

If you're on nitrado, make sure you enable admin commands by entering the password, the first field that pops up won't give you anything from commands. Then, make sure you're pre-pending those commands with 'admincheat', for example, admincheat god.

As of v5.21, Ghost is no longer compatible with MariaDB and will not run with SQLite in production mode - it will only run with MySQL v8 or higher. Opalstack doesn't provide a managed MySQL service at this time so if you want to run the latest Ghost you'll need to run your own private MySQL instance as a custom app.

The guide will set up 2 applications: a MySQL server running on a custom port and a Ghost instance. The various commands use the following placeholders which you'll need to replace with your own values:

Immediately visit your Ghost admin URL and create your admin user. If this process appears to hang then after about 15-20 seconds click the button again and you should be directed to a Ghost login page.

I just saw when recently playing on a game with mods, that when I died I didn't become a ghost or leave the server, I was just respawned somewhere else in the world. Does anyone know if there is a personal mod that allows this or if it's just a byproduct of another mod?

@Escaped, sounds like you were playing a wilderness server. That game mode allows you to choose a different character and spawns you in a random location in the world.

@Escaped, I don't know of any public mod which does this, I however, in the past have created a script to do it, so maybe they created a private server only mod which does the same thing as the script.

I wanted to follow up with this issue and concern that I've been working with Meta to resolve. What has been disappointing, is that for a few weeks in December 2023, my son was able to play Ghostbusters Rise of the Ghost Lord with me (his parent). He would play on our Quest 2 and I would play on our Quest 3 in the same home. I have the game purchased under my account and I share the game with him using app share on his Quest 2. His parent managed account is logged into the secondary account on our Quest 2.

After around the first week of January, he could no longer connect to the Ghostbusters servers. He and I have not been able to play the game together for about a month now and there doesn't seem to be a good solution. First, it was recommended to factory reset the Quest 2. However, by doing this, he would lose all his other game saves/data since secondary accounts do not backup game data to the cloud. So this was not an option. Then, it was suggested that I disable and reenable app sharing. However, this would cause the same problem of losing all game saves/data since there is no cloud backup on his secondary account on our Quest 2. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and making sure the game and headset is up to date.

I'm not seeing any solution to allow him to play the game with me any longer. I understand some games are limited more than others for children under the age of 13, but this completely blocks him from enjoying the game that we were once able to play together. This is a game meant for team play and since he is unable to connect to the servers, he is not only unable to play with his friends, but also his own parent in the same household.

Is there any way to allow him to connect to the Ghostbusters servers again so he and I can play together? I can connect just fine on my adult account on my Quest 3, so it truly seems to be an issue related to his age. I've also asked for help from the developer, but have yet to receive any update.

Unfortunately not. The game was designed around teamwork and he can only play the game offline, which means he and I cannot even play together in the same home. In private messages, Meta said it may be due to recent updates and that the game is rated Teen. However, there doesn't seem to be a way for a parent to allow the game regardless if it's because of the teen rating or social restrictions that children 10-12 years of age have. The restrictions for this age range is becoming very frustrating with no way for parents to make choices for their children.

- In many games, he can't even setup private lobbies/rooms/servers, which depending on the game, either makes it impossible for us to play together in the same home or very challenging to join public lobbies together, especially when they have a maximum number of players.

Having trouble with a Facebook or Instagram account? The best place to go for help with those accounts is the Facebook Help Center or the Instagram Help Center. This community can't help with those accounts.

Running one of the biggest Counter Strike community servers in the world, I've had the opportunity to test lots of different server providers. I've also helped thousands of other people on my Youtube channel and Discord help get their game servers' setup correctly. In this post, I'll go over the best CS2 server hosts you can go with today. I've kept it short and simple for you as anyone on this list is suitable for a basic 10 man private server (so pick who has the location near you), but if you need hosts with specialty features for plugins etc, then I've also got them listed too.

If you're just after a normal Counter Strike 2 server with no mods and just the basic maps, then any provider on this list would do the job for you. Just pick someone with a location near you and your players.

If you're looking to host multiple servers then you might want to look into getting a dedicated server as this gives you more control over your game servers, but I would only really suggest doing this if you already have some kind of community already as it can start getting expensive fast.

As I'm moving all my online assets to a VPS (Virtual Private Server) I wanted to share my current setup. I also want to emphasise that I've been able to set this all up with decent technical knowledge and an understanding of how the internet works, but far from adept developer skills or any significant familiarity with running a server prior to this.

A server is a computer connected to a network that can "serve" content, often for the web. A website is always hosted on a server. It can be private in the sense that I as the owner and administrator do not share it with others. On a shared server (which is the most common way for small entitities to host a website on a web hotel) your assets, and availability, are more vulnerable. You have to abide by more rules, you do not have access to all the settings of the server and can not install what you want on it. The shared environment means security issues, limited resources and the fact that your website could slow down becuse there are other popular websites on the same server.

Virtual can feel like a peculiar concept for a lot of people. What it means in this case is that my computer (the server) is one of many on the same physical machine. It is still running its own operating system and is completely isolated from other virtual servers. Specific memory and computing power is dedicated for each virtual server and never shared. For all intents and purposes, it's a standalone machine. It just isn't physically a standalone machine. It virtually is.
