After spawning, wardens wander randomly around the world and move toward nearby vibrations originating from players, mobs and non-mob sources including projectiles and minecarts. A warden also periodically sniffs the area around it, allowing it to zero in on targets even if they don't create vibrations. As wardens sniff, pick up vibrations or are touched by other players or mobs, wardens become increasingly agitated.

A warden is aware of all targetable entities within a 495149 box around itself. If the warden has a targetable entity, is not investigating any disturbances, and is otherwise idle, it pathfinds toward the closest entity, prioritizing players over mobs. While pathfinding, the warden can begin a 'sniff' behavior and animation. This takes around 4.2 seconds and has a 5-10 seconds cooldown. A warden can still sniff out sneaking players, despite that they cannot detect vibrations from them.

After 60 seconds of being "calm" and not detecting any vibrations or sniffing any mobs, a warden burrows back into the ground and despawns, unless it has been named. If the warden is floating on a liquid, it instead immediately despawns without any burrowing animation. During its emerging/burrowing animation, a warden cannot detect any vibrations, and can take damage only from /kill, though it can still be pushed by entities, pistons, or liquids. Named wardens do not dig or despawn.

A sniffer is a passive mob that does not spawn naturally, and can only be hatched from sniffer eggs. It sniffs out and digs out seeds for various unique decorative plants out of dirt, grass, and moss blocks.

Sniffers wander aimlessly, avoiding hazards and obstacles. They occasionally smell their surroundings and track ancient seeds by pressing their nose to the ground. When they find a seed, they sploot[1] and use their noses to dig into the ground until they get torchflower seeds or a pitcher pod. For a sniffer to be able to dig it needs to be doing nothing else, not in water, on the ground, not in a boat or minecart and the block underneath the head needs to be diggable and reachable for the sniffer. The head location is defined as 2.25 blocks in front of the center of the body. The sniffer also stores the last 20 locations it has dug up so it can't dig there anymore. After sniffing out seeds, an eight minute cooldown is activated before it can dig in again. Despite many popular videos suggesting otherwise, sniffers only come in one color and cannot be dyed.

A baby sniffer is called a snifflet[3] and they have a bigger head than the adult. Snifflets take 48000 game ticks to grow up into adult sniffers, which is equal to 40 minutes or two in-game days, twice as long as most other baby mobs in the game.

Once they sat for a week, I soaked them in hot water with the coffee grounds for about 4 hours, and then washed thoroughly and allowed to dry overnight. After airing out, they were good to go. There may still be a faint pickle smell, but even Nathan had to really look for it. Or sniff, I suppose.

Recently, our area had Firehouse Subs move into my general area where I work. Now, I have eaten at them before but there was not really a restaurant close by, until now. Firehouse, why did you have to do that? Now I have to visit you at least once a week (crying sniff sniff).

We have videos encoded via bitmovin.com and provided as HTTP Live Streams (Fairplay HLS), but subtitles although in WebVTT format are exposed separately as direct URLs for the whole file, not individual segments and are not part of the HLS m3u8 playlist.

I know Apple's recommendation is to include segmented VTT subtitles into the HLS playlist, but I can't change the server implementation right now, so I want to clarify if it is even possible to provide the subtitle to AVPlayer to play along with the HLS stream.

So to begin I'll describe what I'm trying to do. My backend server is Azure Media Services, and it's been really great for streaming different resolution video as needed but it just doesn't really support WebVtt. Yeah you can host a file on there, but it seems it cannot give us a master playlist that includes a reference to the subtitles playlist (as Apple requires). It seems both Apple and Microsoft decided what they were going to do with subtitles back in like 2012 and haven't touched it since. At that time they either didn't talk to each other or deliberately went opposite directions, but they happen to have poor intercompatibilty, and now devs like us are forced to stretch the gap between the behemoths. Many of the resources online covering this topic are addressing things like optimized caching of arbitrary streamed data, but I found those resources to be more confusing than helpful. All I'm wanting to do is add subtitles to on-demand videos played in AVPlayer being served by Azure Media Services with the HLS protocol when I have a hosted WebVtt file - nothing more, nothing less. I'll start by describing everything in words, then I'll put the actual code at the end.

The !!!yourCustomUrlHere!!! you use in step 2 will have to be detected by you when it's used for a request so you can return the manufactured subtitle playlist as part of the response, so set it to something unique. That Url will also have to use the "CUSTOMSCHEME" thing so that it comes to the delegate. You can also check out this streaming example to see how the manifest should look: -stream-osx-ios5.html (sniff the network traffic with the browser debugger to see it).

The subtitle playlist is a little more complicated. You have to make the whole thing yourself. The way I've done it is to actually grab the WebVtt file myself inside the DataTask callback, then parse the thing down to find the end of the very last timestamp sequence, convert that to an integer number of seconds, and then insert that value in a couple places in a big string. Again, you can use the example listed above and sniff network traffic to see a real example for yourself. So it looks like this:

If using a streaming service where you can edit the streaming manifest and upload other files where your encoded media is, then with a little bit of manual work (which could be scripted out), you can put the subtitles in the manifest in the way that iOS expects it to be. I was able to get this to work with Azure Media Services, although it is a little hacky.

We actually use the radio in sniff mode all the time. The interrupt routine looks at the Carrier_Sense_Valid pulse which seems to be present every sniff cycle. The irq keeps count of these pulses over .2 sec intervals. If the count drops below 5 in .2 sec, the software assumes the receiver is locked and then it is re-initialized.

hello! i have a project with over 700 videos (altogether 30 hours) so adding subtitles is crucial to my project. i read that there is no official way of properly adding subtitles, but are there any alternative ways?

I. Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SDH)
This section applies to subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing created for English language content (i.e. intralingual subtitles). For English subtitles for non-English language content, please see Section II

Another aspect of the Geographies of Trash project involves interviewing those Ahol fans who have found and begun collecting his trash-to-art pieces. The Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab-FIU was brought in to facilitate, film, and digitally preserve these interviews with Ahol collectors. In this section of the archive, one will find these video interviews with subtitles.

The show thus far has three seasons. The first is available on Amazon Prime. The first two are on Netflix. The third season has thus far not not reached the US. Each season has eight episodes lasting about 50 minutes. The production values, editing, and acting are all first rate. Of course, you have to keep your eyes fixed on the subtitles to follow the action. The program has been a big hit in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, the Baltic states, and Israel.

I thought i was home alone having the time of my life sniffing my stepdad's filthy socks that was until stepfather came home early and busted me - Lucky for me he took pity on me after finding out I was a virgin and decided to jerk me off.

SCENT AND SMELL Starring SUMIRE MATSU is great. It really is and we highly recommend it. Titles like this that feature big name AV stars in full-length movies with extreme focus on one type of unconventional fetish are very rare. Sumire was a team player and remaining chirpy throughout the entire affair. She even was featured in a bonus scene where we see her signing all her uniforms while commenting on their stench. This was a very dialog-focused title and the English subtitles truly make this something special. Enjoy it! We sure did.

The tick, which makes itself extra small and inconspicuous so that no one will see it and step on it. The lonely tick, which wrapped up in itself, huddles in its tree, blind, deaf and dumb, and simply sniffs, sniffs all year long, for miles around, for the blood of some passing animal that it could never reach on its own power. The tick could let itself drop. It could fall to the floor of the forest and creep a millimeter or two here or there on its six tiny legs and lie down to die under the leaves- it would be no great loss, God knows. But the tick, stubborn, sullen, and loathsome, huddles there and lives and waits. Waits for that most improbable of chances that will bring blood, in animal form, directly beneath its tree. And only then does it abandon caution and drop, and scratch and bore and bite into alien flesh……The young Grenouille was such a tick: (25)

Models have been developed that may be used to explain the subsidence and thermal history of basins formed in tensional regimes or zones of pull-apart. McKenzie (1978) has shown that if the lithosphere (and crust) are uniformly thinned by stretching, subsidence or uplift may take place during the stretching (depending upon the ratio of crystal to lithosphere thickness), and that the stretching phase is followed by a long period of thermally driven subsidence which decays exponentially with time. Roy den e t al. (1980) modified the McKenzie model to incorporate the possibility of dyke injection of mantle material during the stretching phase. Both McKenzie and Roy den et al. (1980) considered that the stretched slab was of infinite horizontal extent, thus there would be no horizontal heat loss. Both the McKenzie and Roy den et al. models assumed basin forma tin to be a two stage process with a short period of rifting or stretching without significant heat loss followed by a long phase of thermally driven subsidence. Jarvis and McKenzie (1980) have shown that for the infinite slab, if the stretching phase is less than 20 m.y.syn-rift heat loss may be ignored. Stickler (1981) has modified the McKenzie model to calculate the subsidence and heat loss of basins of finite width and has shown that lateral heat loss through the sides of the basin is important; the rates of cooling and subs indene are increased. Cochran (1983) has calculated the effect of sniff heat loss and has shown that for basins less than 150 km wide, the loss of heat during rifting is important.
