Client is looking for Java Developer with Banking Industry Experience in New Jersey, New York (Local candidates only). This is a 6+ Months contract Positions. The Salary is DOE .
The approach is to construct a global regulatory data repository, calculation engine and reporting data warehouse:
· Create a global data repository with supporting functionality
· Source data from strategic sources (where possible) and other controller’s systems
· Create US GAAP compliant trial balance that reconciles to books and records
· Create a single rule-based generic capital engine.
· Create a single MIS and compliance environment with reporting tools and architecture to support both as a part of the effort to extend the COMET to make it a global regulatory calculation engine.
· Extend the system to comply with local regulatory requirements e.g. UK FSA regulatory requirements
· New hire will join the COMET Build Team, within the Corporate Systems department.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
· Software Development according to given Technical Specification
· Provide technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within technology environments
· Contribute to the technical code documentation
· Design, develop, and implement frameworks
· Implement fixes and enhancements
· Create Test Plans, Test Cases and perform unit and integration testing
· Perform Performance Tuning / Testing on application code
· Support existing applications
· Involved in full life cycle of project
Qualifications:
· Development Skills:
· Must be very good in Core Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Spring Framework, Weblogic 10.3
· Must have very experience on integrating different systems using MQ Series and Web Service based interfaces.
· Having good knowledge about Log4J, Ajax, XML, Ant, Unix Shell Scripts
Design Skills:
· Experience designing complex financial application, Knowledge of Design Patterns
Databases:
· Oracle, Oracle PL SQL, Building Stored Procedure
· Desirable having experience with JRules Rules Engine or experience with any other rules engine, Cruise Controls, JUnit
· Experience with Basel Systems will be a plus.
