Let me know if that converter works for you, I had problems with a similar WP to BlogML converter a while ago. 

Also note that our BlogML importer isn't great - we don't do anything with embedded attachments (not that it will matter in this case) and there might be some other subtle bugs.

I know Paul has run it on AppHarbor, but the problem is that AppHarbor is a read-only file system so you can't upload files. You'd have to either store them in your git repo and push them up each time or work on a plugin which allows you to host images on S3 or Flickr or something
