Hartle comes to Central Christian after 20 seasons on the soccer sidelines at Christian Fellowship School down the road in Columbia. He was the head boy's soccer coach for 18 of those seasons and the assistant girl's soccer coach for 15 years.

In all, Hartle compiled a 257-140-8 record as a head coach at CFS. He led the program to six Missouri Christian Schools Athletic Association (MCSAA) state titles and a National Association of Christian Athletes (NACA) title.

"Art brings a great deal of experience and leadership in coaching the game of soccer," Defreitas said. "He will excel at mentoring our student-athletes and getting the best out of their ability. We are extremely excited to see him lead the next phase of our soccer programs."

CCCB announced it was reinstating the men's soccer program and launching the women's soccer program in 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic affected recruiting for both sports and the Saints elected to put the programs on hold for a year.

"I would like to thank the leadership of Central Christian College of the Bible for the opportunity to coach the Saints soccer teams," Hartle said. "To start a new program and restart another is a great endeavor, and it is nice to know that so many people here at CCCB are behind this undertaking."

I would like to thank Dan Radakovich and the search committee for making this process feel so seamless and I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to Vanderbilt University, Darren Ambrose, and Candice Lee for the incredible journey we shared. The memories and growth achieved during my time at Vanderbilt will forever be cherished. Leaving is bittersweet, but my family and I are excited about the new challenges and opportunities that lie ahead at the University of Miami.

"Ken was instrumental in establishing Vanderbilt soccer's winning culture and ensuring the program's continuous success. I believe I speak for past, current, and future players when I express our overwhelming joy for Ken, his wife Megan, and their children Landon and Miller, as he takes on the role of Head Coach for the women's program at the University of Miami! Congratulations!"
