Subject: Share The Opportunity: CEE

Dear Shamil Ibragimov,

My name is Analise, and I am the deputy of recruitment and selection for an innovative youth-centered community engagement fellowship, Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program. We are writing to share an exciting opportunity with you and your youth networks.

We are reaching out to your organization, Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan, because you are working in a CEE eligible country with disability rights initiatives. The Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program is now accepting applications and we would like your assistance in sharing the opportunity with your networks.

About the CEE Program:

The Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) Program is a year-long leadership development program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and supported in its implementation by IREX.

CEE supports emerging community leaders, ages 21-28, from over 100 countries around the world working at the nexus of public, private, and non-profit sectors to address issues of public concern and improve the quality of community. CEE is designed to equip energized young leaders with the tools, resources, and networks to amplify their capacity as leaders and changemakers. CEE fellows participate in a three-month exchange in the United States where they work with a host organization. During their practicum experience, CEE fellows work directly with U.S. community-based organizations focused on addressing similar civil society issues. Fellows strengthen their own capacity and share their own knowledge and experience with their host community. They will also participate in a comprehensive civic engagement and leadership curriculum and learn values-based approaches to problem-solving rooted in collaborative and inclusive decision making, discourse, and democratic principles. Following their time in the United States, fellows will implement a results-oriented project in their home communities over six months, specifically focused on issues related to one of the five CEE program themes: civic dialogue and peacebuilding, open and participatory government, women and gender, resilience and sustainable development, and youth engagement. The CEE Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, with funds provided by the U.S. Government and supported in its implementation by IREX.

You can learn more about the program at irex.org/cee and encourage those in your network to apply at cee.irex.org.

To support this request, we invite you to review all attached CEE Program resources. When sharing materials with your networks, we request that to the greatest extent possible you target outreach efforts to historically marginalized or underrepresented groups such as women, people who identify as LGBTQ, people with disabilities, and people living in rural areas.

If you have any questions about the recruitment process of the program, we encourage you to reach out to us via appl...@irex.org or you can reach out to me directly.
