publishing drafts in advance and email alerts

Hi--

I have two issues that I hope you will be able to address.

First is reinstating the ability to publish a post in advance. This
feature used to work like a dream but now it doesn't. It's very
inconvenient if you are going to be away from your computer but would
still like your posts to appear on the appointed dates.

Second, today when I published the post manually, I never received an
email alert of the new post. I'm assuming no one else on my mailing
list did either.

Hi,

Yes you are right there is a bug with the future publishing. We'll get a
fix as soon as we get to the bottom of it.

Second issue though, emails do go out. I am actually on your maillist
and I got an email today for an entry. Check your spam folder, we'll
check with the online spam lists and make sure we've not been added by
mistake over the next few days.

Email alerts resumed earlier today. Also future blogging alerts are
functional again.

I check my spam folder daily and have never gotten a blog-city email
alert email there. I definitely did not get an email alert about my
post dated Sept. 8, 2009.
