There is an easy-to-use yet powerful corrupted sd card repair tool that will help you fix a damaged SD card. It's EaseUS Partition Master. Users can take advantage of its check partition feature to repair a corrupted SD card so that the computer can read the card again.

Except for checking file system and repairing SD cards, EaseUS Partition Master provides more one-stop disk partition features, such as resize/move partitions to solve low disk space issues, clone disks, merging partitions, creating/deleting/formatting partitioning, wipe data, disk/partition conversion (e.g., convert FAT32 to NTFS), and so on.

Sometimes, when the SD card not showing up on Windows //10, it is the computer interface problem rather than the SD card. In this case, connect your SD card to another computer. Alternatively, use another SD card to check the interface. This is the first way you can take to fix SD card not detected problem.

One common cause of Windows 11/10 not being able to read SD cards or SD card readers is very simple: a dirty SD card or a dusty SD card reader. Either can lead to poor contact between the card and reader and make Windows 11/10 not read the SD card.

So, give your card a clean, and remove any dust from the reader, then try the card again. Or you can find another PC and test the SD card on that computer to see if it works. If your SD card still not reading on Windows 11/10, move on to the following methods.

When you perform the formatting of the SD card on your phone, it is very likely that something will go wrong and the formatting will fail. Then, the file system of your SD card is corrupted, and it won't be detected and show up on your computer.

If your SD card is still not reading or showing up after fixing using the method above, we advise you to use EaseUS data recovery software to recover the files on the SD card first and then format the SD card for reuse.

Why won't Windows 11/10 read the SD card? Usually, you can put a micro SD card into a card reader so that you can connect the SD card to a computer and open the SD card on PC. However, lots of users reported the SD card not showing up Windows 11/10. How does it come that Windows 10 is not reading SD card? Many factors would bring about such consequences. For example:

As mentioned before, if your computer or SD card gets infected with a virus, you might not be able to find and access the SD card on Windows 11/10. Thus, run antivirus software to clean up the virus or malware. And upgrade your antivirus software in time.

I went into Programs & Features in the Control Panel (or just search "programs and features" in the Start menu) and opened it up. Then, in the list of all the programs, I scrolled down towards the bottom where all the Bootcamp drivers are (meaning the Windows Driver Packages). I selected the Apple SD Card Reader driver (if you can't find it, just search "Apple SD" in the search bar at the top right), and then clicked Uninstall/Change. Then I clicked Yes when the confirmation window appeared. Then I tried inserting an SD card into the reader, and it worked! It automatically installed a separate driver called "Broadcom SD SCSI Disk Device.

Tried almost everything i could, reinstalled Windows, reinstalled Bootcamp drivers, uninstalled Apple SD Card drivers/Broadcom SD Card drivers, tried manual installation of SD Card drivers, but no luck.

You should take a look at that discussion if you're experiencing this issue yes. Previous to windows 10.1 I was experiencing the SD card dropping off after sleep, but after Windows updated I am now experiencing this on every boot:

If I uninstall that unknown device, it resintalls just like that again. I've tried updating bootcamp drivers to the latest ones available several times. I've tried the suggestion in the post above to try without the apple SD card driver. None of them work.

For over three years now (see date of first post on first link below), a wide range of Macbook users have reported severe problems with the bootcamp SD card driver, we think for a particular Broadcom chipset. The issue got progressively worse with the release of Windows 10, and now with the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition (1607 release) the SD Card is inoperable: on boot we receive Set Address Failed (see last link for latest post) and no known workaround exists. Please see the following links for a large variety of users posting detailed reports on this issue:

Boot into bootcamp on a Macbook pro Retina (other users have found the problem in Macbook Airs also - see posts) which uses the affected broadcom chipset, running Windows 10 Anniversary Edition. Try to access content stored on an SD Card using the inbuilt SD Card reader.

See the below configuration of my mac, see also all included forum links for many other hardware configurations where this occurs and the general conclusion that this affects the Broadcom SD-card driver chipset

See all the links mentioned. Note the number of users affected, the diversity of their hardware, the amount of time that has expired since reports came in and the perceived lack of faith from users in a resolution due to Apple and Microsoft (for whom users are both paid customers) not seeking to resolve the issue. Hence I would suggest this is very urgent.

You must have experienced similar situation. After days of using your smartphone or digital camera to take pictures and videos, you go back home and try to transfer everything from memory card to computer in order to backup or further editing. You insert the memory card to adapter to your laptop, open Windows File Explorer, expecting to see the icon which represents SD card. However, the SD card does not show up in Windows. Thus you try again, and end up with same result. You doubt the SD card might be damaged, and do not know what to do.

"I am recently experiencing an annoying problem. I bought a 32GB SD from a local shop, but it is not showing up in File Explorer of my Windows 10 laptop after connecting it via a card reader. I returned the memory card as it is not working on my computer and then I purchased another card from a different shop. Unfortunately, this SD card couldn't be recognized by my computer either! I have followed several methods found on the Internet to fix the issue, but none of them worked. What's more frustrating was that same issue happened to my old SD card. That old SD card cannot be seen in computer either! I hate to lose all data on this SD card. Can anyone tell me how to make SD card shown in computer without losing data?"
