Disabling options in a dropdown

Hi,

I have a dropdown field with 3 options.  Once user selects first option, it should be grayed out. I see some discussions in a 2016 thread where they say it is not possible.

Is there any way to do it?  I could not find the disabling options in the reference.Let me know a way to solve this or point me to documentation.

Our dropdown menu do not have the concept of disabled items. We wouldn't be against guiding a pull request for the feature, if you wanted to implement it.

That said, the dropdowns are one of the areas that will likely go through significant churn in the coming months as it is one of the last uses of the closure library, which we are slowly removing our dependency on.
