can anyone tell me if google or someone is working on a blockly interface for creating visual programs in c++ or c#. i have been trying most of my life to learn how to program and have barely grasped python and c. i am dyslexic and typing on the keyboard has constantly been a problem for me... here is a recent post i sent to a few kickstarters but it has yet to go anywhere.. i am behind the curve again xD. use the below msg as a reference for my topic.. now i found blockly and i think someone may be able to tell me how i can help the cause or point me to where the future of programming in visual c++ is.... is their a program that uses blocks and builds full featured c++ programs? is blockly being utilized for c++ or c# yet?    thanks a million. here is the msg from a few years back...

i am 30 and trying with much difficult to settle myself down and do something with my life. computers have consumed me since i was very young and i am in search of a language that has the functionality of c++ for game design and the api and hardware range of android and java. i know that is quite a task to ask for but none the less i feel that their is a lack of a solid wysiwyg or other simple graphical interface to visualize the coding experience. overall i think it would not be that difficult to gather a team and make a simplistic and efficient graphical interface based off livecode, or java or c++ or preferably a new language that merges the functionality of them all. i know i must sound like a gibbering fool but i can tell that you have tremendous skill i am just hoping to get the ball rolling so that someone like me who has dyslexia can still use a computer to create a program...
i am not looking for a super program that can replace an entire team of designers... i am just suggesting a simpler interface and the obvious aspect of losing the code overlay altogether from the visual coding experience. of course you would always have access to editing the code from txt or the built in editor. but if learning 100s of code languages, spending countless hours practicing and tediously managing your numerous typos and general mistakes and making sense out of which language you should be coding with is your thing..... than don't break the system with me just ignore this.....

i am considering getting something going on kickstarter but as tech savvy as i may be a programmer with nimble fingers i am not. i can assure you within a month of alpha testing a final product based off of my designs that it would be near perfection. i honestly think and have thought for a long time that my goal for being on this planet was to put the power of the program at everyone's fingertips...

i also would like the plugin and your angle on how effective wordpress would be for my project and our code selection. like i said i have a form of dyslexia i cannot no matter how many times i have tried type correctly. i still type 45+ wpms but often with much error that i correct on the fly. i have to look at the keyboard most of the time when i time because my coordination does not match my perception. i need help making something of this.... and so do millions more who have other defects or lack of comprehension of alien languages as do i. please donate your skill and wisdom. i am at your disposal and other than my wife you are the only one i have mentioned this to. and again to emphasize this has been rolling around in my head for so long but i am very grounded in reality and have little to offer other than exactly what my opinion is on what the world needs. i know that is a loaded statement i hope you will stick around for the bullets......

After reading it i see it is mostly for Italian high school students. Not very useful for what I had in mind. I appreciate your time very much though. I will start typing very slow and try to break my bad typing habits by the way as well. I named the topic Blocly instead of Blockly for c++.... ohhhh boy

Also any chance someone could tell me how to edit the topic. I am still trying to figure it out.

Hi Ryan,

I guess from the lack of response it means that no-one is working on it.  In my opinion though,  emerging web technologies and HTML5 have come so far that JavaScript seems to be the most obvious choice for people to learn coding.  With web components, WebGL, WebRTC, PhoneGap, Crosswalk etc it seems pretty much anything is achievable and can easily be made cross platform.

To me, trying to make c++ easy is counter productive.

Just my thoughts

Phil

i appreciate them. are their any front ends that allow me to code visually mainly in java i have mild dyslexia and learning java has been quite difficult. i will look into the mentioned programs you have given me. thank you. i still feel that java as a runtime environment is not the best choice. if so than a java operating system should be created to get rid of the virtual environment and make it run more smoothly. also so you could write specifically to the hardware. that's why i want a front end gui to code c++ in and was looking for blockly as the answer. i want to make games primarly and i know it's a dream but eventually want to start my own game studio and along with some like minded friends create  BETTER GAME.. it kills me that their are no ways to find databases with previous code from games that are getting older that you could design a gui around.

If you go the JavaScript route here's a couple of Javascript API's you should look at which could help you:

Speech Recognition

File System API
