Talk to Arduino firmata USB or Bluetooth

I am an embedded developer and new to Blockly. I have a project in the works built on Arduino and would like to develop a block based interface to talk to the Arduino firmata. Has this been done before, and if so, where can I go to find an example or tutorial on the subject?

Blockly@rduino might be what you're looking for.

I;ve made a Firmata implementation of Blockly. It generates NodeJS code, for use with the for http://johnny-five.io framework.

To use it, u need to install PingFirmata sketch on Arduino, and NodeJS locally.
