Hi,

I believe blockly brings the same challenge as a programming language. In my opinion, it is a translated form of programming language. It is not a visual language to begin with. However, the challenge of programming language and a right visual language can be solved. Would you know whom to continue this discussion further ?

Solving this will bring material design (design), material design (develop), blockly, UI frameworks (Angular, dart, flutter) under a standard. This saves computational time, human effort in maintenance time as well.

About me - I figured a technique for cross framework code generation in 2019 as hobby. Last year, I had a vague idea to solve design to code for frontend UI. I resigned my job to continue working on this challenge and started my own tech firm. Having solved the design tool concept for frontend code generation, as of this moment, I'm solving design to code for backend code generation. I realized I'm also solving programming language paradigm and its challenges for visual learners.

Question
1. Where is blockly (philosophy, concept, problem statement, solution) document?
2. Where to continue this conversation and share my findings?

Hi Vetri,

You can read more about Blockly on our developer site, such as in this "Why Blockly" article. The other articles under the "Design considerations" section may also be useful to you, as they address some common design patterns or gotchas that have been discovered over the many years of experience with Blockly-based applications.

Bringing all of those things together in one new standard sounds like an ambitious goal, though I do think this xkcd might be relevant here :) This forum is probably the best place to have blockly-related discussions; though it is focused on technical questions, we do welcome general discussion as well.

Best,
Maribeth
