I have gotten reports related to users using a iPad to access my site that has a blockly workspace and a lot of custom blocks.

When using an iPad with Apple's Safari browser, if the user tries to "right mouse click" on a block to display the pop up menu (for example, to duplicate the block) the user taps with one finger on the block and holds (this is how you right mouse click on an iPad) and they see momentarily the pop up menu, but it doesn't persist and they cannot select anything from the menu.

similarly, if on an iPad, the user tries use any of the drop down controls in a block to select a different option for that block, the drop down list appears momentarily but then disappears and the user cannot select any of the items from the drop down list.

Unfortunately, I don't have immediate access to an iPad. Does anyone know what I have to do to make this work?

Are you able to share the site to see if we can recreate the problem?

These menus are working fine for my application on various generations of iPads.

Also, the action you describe is usually called "long pressing."

Thanks for your response Chris.

The site is served by an Android app that is part of a robot controller system, so it's not easy to share. If I can't get ahold of an iPad, I may be able to make an example that (hopefully) reproduces the problem.

I was able to put my site on the internet: https://ftc-test-184419.appspot.com/

If I try "Test with frames", I see the bug.
If I try "Test without frames", I don't see the problem.

Another developer added all the frames around my simple html, so I'm not too familiar with that stuff. I suspect that the frame has some CSS that is interfering with the blockly popup menu and dropdown fields.

Any ideas?

I think this is fixed in the latest blockly. Yay! Thanks!
