Realtime Collaboration in Blockly

I know that Blockly has explored collaborative editing  (I've played with the demo at https://blockly-realtime-collab.appspot.com/static/demos/realtime/index.html ).  I've had multiple requests to add this capability to my 3D CAD app (BlocksCAD, https://blockscad3d.com/editor ), and was curious if there is a timeline on getting this fully working and released for Blockly.   Thanks.

As far as I know, the approach taken for that demo never totally worked and has been deprecated.  If I were doing it today I would probably base it on blockly events, building on the approach of the Mirrored Blockly demo (source code here).  The Blockly developers might have more to say, though.
