We from Sistema THEAD are actively working on a new blockly editor and we have one questions for this awesome community! Thank you in advance for all your generous support.

QUESTION 1:
We need to separate the two elements: toolbox and workspace.
Because we need to make the workspace smaller than the toolbox.

See this examples:
Captura de pantalla 2025-11-03 a las 18.31.38.png
Captura de pantalla 2025-11-03 a las 18.31.41.png
¿is this possible? we tried but looks no easy.

Thanks for any advice :)

Hi,

I think your images may not have come through--it may be worth resending them.

Depending on what you're specifically trying to change regarding the toolbox sizing, this page likely contains the CSS classes you can utilize to tweak the toolbox appearance (CSS is the recommended way to do this in Blockly). Separately, you can use your browser's inspector to see what CSS classes different parts of the toolbox use in case one of those needs to have customization, instead.

Regards,
Ben

Ah, I had misread the original request that you were looking to make the workspace smaller.

As far as I know this isn't supported. I did some quick CSS hacks to essentially achieve the same result but, predictably, they cause coordinate shifting, over-rendering for blocks dragged outside the workspace, and scrollbar issues. This might be something that's possible to solve with a plugin but it would be fairly involved. I would be curious if anyone else in the community has done something like this before and how they managed to solve it.

Regards,
Ben
