Could it be added to create a user login linked to gmail account to save the user progress? It is frustrating when using multiple devices and would love it when logging in on different devices if I could pick up at the same place.

I wish this system would save progress on with google account or log-in. I use this to teach my coding and robotics classes, and using cookies means that sometimes kids lose progress and have to start over.

I would like to have my students be able to save their progress with a sign in to blockly games. Is it possible for students to use their school district google login to sign in and save their progress?

The legal issues surrounding child accounts are complex.  In broad strokes, some countries have laws requiring that websites store no identifiable information regarding children, while other countries have laws requiring websites to store verified identities of every child account.  Both of these are designed to protect children, but do so in mutually incompatible ways.  As a company that operates globally, Google finds it challenging to comply simultaneously with every country's laws and regulations.

I understand the need for accounts.  We are currently looking at supporting saving progress in the Pond game (as well as the game currently under development that follows Pond).  However as you can imagine this is a difficult process.  I appreciate your patience as we attempt work towards a solution.

In the mean time, note that every level does have a link button that generates a bookmarkable, or sharable URL with all the code on that level.  So perhaps one could encourage students to save these URLs in a document or spreadsheet.  Or better yet, if they are logged into Chrome with a Google account, then their bookmarks should follow them around.  Not the optimal solution, but maybe it gives you some relief while we work through the legal red tape.

Thank you for your quick response. I thought the link would just have saved the blank page and not the code. That does help. Thank you. The main answer is in blue if you don’t want to read all the go-between messages.
