Im Zuge des Ausbaus des Wireless Networks FUnkLAN an der FU
sind weitere Standorte mit Access Points ausgestattet worden.
Hierzu gehören u.a.
- Otto-Suhr-Institut
- FB Rechtswissenschaft
- Kristallographie des FB Biologie, Chemie, Pharmazie
- zusätzliche Bereiche in der Silberlaube.
Diese und alle anderen versorgten Standorte sind auf Karten
eingezeichnet, die im Web unter
http://www.vpn.fu-berlin.de/wireless/
abrufbar sind. Die jetzt neu versorgten Standorte bieten eine
Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit von 54 Mbit/s an, können jedoch auch mit
älteren Karten (11 Mbit/s) genutzt werden. Zukünftig kommen nur noch
die "schnellen" Access Points zum Einsatz, die bereits installierten
langsameren sollen nach und nach ersetzt werden.
