Vor der Inbetriebnahme des Kommunikations- und Mailservers "Komma"
besaßen ZEDAT-Accountinhaber E-Mail-Adressen der Form
user...@fub46.zedat.fu-berlin.de
"Fub46" war der Name des Rechners, der den E-Mail-Dienst damals anbot.
Mit der im Frühjahr 1997 erfolgten Umstellung auf den Rechner "Komma"
wurden die rechnerunabhängigen E-Mail-Adressen der Form
eingeführt und zur ausschließlichen Benutzung empfohlen. Die alten Adressen
mit Fub46 im Namen galten aus Gründen der Kontinuität weiterhin. E-Mails an
solche Adressen wurden also bisher an den entsprechenden Nutzer
ausgeliefert.
In Vorbereitung der Umstellung auf ein neues E-Mail-System soll diese
"Altlast" nun beseitigt werden. Ab Mittwoch, dem 8. Dezember 2004, werden
daher E-Mails, die an eine Adresse der Form
user...@fub46.zedat.fu-berlin.de
gerichtet sind, nicht mehr angenommen. Solche E-Mails haben zum größten Teil
allerdings auch nur Spam zum Inhalt.
Was bedeutet das neue Verfahren für ZEDAT-Nutzer?
Wer keine sinnvollen E-Mails mit einer "alten" E-Mail-Adresse mehr
erhält, ist von der Änderung gar nicht betroffen.
Wer jedoch Korrespondenzpartner besitzt, die noch die alte Adresse
benutzen, oder sich mit der alten Adresse auf einer Mailingliste
eingetragen hat, sollte seine Korrespondenzpartner auf die Änderung
hinweisen bzw. den Eintrag auf der Mailingliste ändern (lassen).

the system will lead to less suffering than the breakdown of the
system would. The system has already caused, and is continuing to
cause , immense suffering all over the world. Ancient cultures, that
for hundreds of years gave people a satisfactory relationship with
each other and their environment, have been shattered by contact with
industrial society, and the result has been a whole catalogue of
economic, environmental, social and psychological problems. One of the
effects of the intrusion of industrial society has been that over much
of the world traditional controls on population have been thrown out
of balance. Hence the population explosion, with all that it implies.
Then there is the p
