I know Dennis personally, and know him to be of good moral
character
and know first hand that he has advanced interests in Linux and in
video production tools. I've had many long conversations with
Dennis
Handrick at Burlington's Center for Arts Technology and Health
Education (CATHE) in the old Burlington Linux Laboratory. Dennis'
deep knowledge were exhibited to me in discussions of radio waves,
electronics, video production, construction leave me with a stark
impression of his genius mind. In my opinion Dennis is a
wonderful
human being who would be a worthy investment of this hardware.
The
investment would give Dennis the ability to run the free software
on
hardware that's able to perform satisfactorily to the demanding
tasks
of dealing with video.
I wish to thank Dennis for his contributions of helping to get
things
in order around the laboratory, and for his patience in helping
test
and debug the advanced Linux Terminal Server system and
"NoMachine"
software on our little server. Dennis once contributed $10
towards a
domain name I had envisioned to foster collaboration between Linux
students, Linux mentors and corporations. Thank You Dennis!
I've known Dennis to run Puppy Linux on incredibly old hardware,
and
that he was a worthy student of Linux, asking me intelligent
questions, exhibiting that He over time, had done much study on
his own.
In my mind, Dennis would be a tremendous asset to many of the
organizations which are associated through this mailing list.
Sincerely,
Joseph William Baker, Authorized Representative
