So in my last note, I mentioned the question that some sighted people have had, which is 'why would a blind person want to use a camera?'
Let me also add to that the question I've also heard, which is 'How can a blind person use a camera?'
For myself, I'll go more into detail of how I started with photography in later notes, but for now, I'll simply ask if anyone has ways they feel comfortable in making sure a subject is centered in the camera view?
Obviously this will be easier when you can touch what you're shooting I.E. if you're taking images of household items and such for barcode scanning etc. but do you have strategies you like which allow you to take pictures of friends or family?
For me, when friends or family ask me to shoot them, it is a huge help if we talk as I'm getting ready to take the shot. This works well since I can then use their voice to center the camera.
What strategies work for you?
