Hi all,

I am looking for a client that I can blog with offline. Microsoft Word 2010
came to mind but it does not support tags and I am unable to set categories.
I did a quick search of the archives and saw a reference to post2blog or
something like that. The editor does not seem to be developed so that option
is out. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My blog is hosted on wordpress.com. It is at
http://techesoterica.wordpress.com

Dear Pranav,

How about Windows Live Writer? As far as I know, it works well with
WP, but I don't know how accessible it is. Give it a try and let us
know how you get along,

good luck,
Sponge

Hi John and all,

I have got stuck at the first step of windos live writer 2011. I cannot
select the components to install. I do not want everything that is available
in windows live essentials. The component selection screen does not tell me
what is checked and unchecked.

Oh well, time to find a working pair of eye balls unless anyone has any
ideas?

Howdy from Texas!
Pranaf, what screen reader version are you using to access Post to Blog or
Windows Live Writer 2011? I know older versions of JAWS will not work well.
Good luck and try email posting in a pinch.

Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,

I am on jaws 11 and will be migrating to jaws 12 quite soon.

Hi Robert,

1. Post2blog is no longer being developped and the only place I can download
it is from cnet. I will try it but I would like to use a product that is
being maintained.

2. I could use e-mail but I see no way of specifying categories. I can
specify tags in the subject line of e-mail.

Pranav,
I overlooked your statement that you are using Windows Live Writer 2011.
You are likely a pioneer using this edition. I haven't tried it with JAWS
11. You are probably correct that you've identified an access barrier. You
might want to contact the publishers of Windows Live Writer to let them know
about the issues you've encountered. Who knows? They may just fix it for
all of us.

Regards,
Malcolm

Hi Malcolm,

I will drop a line to Microsoft and wait. In the meantime, I will explore
other options.

Hello Robert,
<snip Try post2blog
PL] I have got it installed. The application seems to have a queer mix of a
web browser and a regular windows interface. How do you access the menus? I
have had to click them using the jaws cursor.
