Hi Jim, from Ron Kolesar and Leader Dog Boz.
Are you talking about simming with the flight simulator?
If so?
You'll need the following.
1. a copy of at least Microsoft Flight simulator version ten better known as
version X. or even version X gold.
Then to make that program blind friendly, you'll need a second program
called It's your plane.
For more info on IYP, you can go out to
www.itsyourplane.com
Matter of fact, I don't know if it's out just yet.
But it's in the works of being up graded once again from version 4.1.221 to
version 4.1.222 as I write this letter off to you.
You can find you tube videos about how blind friendly the FSX IYP project is
by going to the IYP web page for you tube videos or going out to the
www.youtube.lcom
Web page and do a search for It your plane.
Also for hand to ear hands on.
Go out to
www.bpcprograms.com
Go to down loads and check out the program 3 D Velocity.
The FSX IYP project is all talk interface, but FSX does have some blind
friendly keyboard commands though.
The 3 d Velocity or TDV project was written by a blind person for we blind
pilots to enjoy.
TDV Does work via the keyboard and or a USB handheld gamepad or flight yoke.
Plus TDV has force feedback written into it as well.
So Think of that when you reasearch your USB controller.
I hope this helps you out.
A friend of mine and I have one other program to try and bring the FSX IYP
project to real life but not sure if it would be blind friendly or not.
I need to touch base with the owner of that sofware.
Plus, if you want a new e-mail net to subscribe to for a blind person to be
able to fly.
You might want to subscribe to the following list.
The name of the list is
Blind Flight Simmers
This group is for blind persons or those who want to develop accessible add-
ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. If you are using Fs9, you are also
welcome. This group is intended for people to share their experiences,
thoughts and ideas about flight simming.

Hi Jim,
The first thing you will need is a copy of FSX. Once you have that, then
you will need a second program called It's Your Plane. Depending on how
into flight simming you want to get, you can also purchase several other
add-ons as well such as Air Enviroment Airliners Edition, and Ultimate
Traffic 2, both available for download from Flight1.
Hope this helps,
Jordan
