Hi-Lites from Sunday Sangat - March 21, 2010

1) Rev. Hartaj Ji: Initiated the satsang with an Avtar Bani Shabad, "satgur mainu charni laya, bharam bulekha sab gawaya."

2) Rev. Kumud Walia Ji: Seeked blessings in the form of a song.

3) Rev. Navpreet Sethi Ji: Shared lines of the sufi song "kaiyan jagdiyan de rehnde bhaag sutte, kithey bhaag laanda paya suttiyan nu,
kai kardiyaan nit didar tera, kai tarasdiyan teri buttiyan nu,
kai chumdiyan sir da taaj tera, kai tarasdiyan teri juttiyan nu,
jis te eh mehrabaan hove, jannat waadh denda phad kuttiyan nu"

He quoted himself as very fortunate to be born in a Nirankari family and got this divine-knowledge as a free gift. Similarly all of us are very fortunate to get this knowledge. This has happened with the grace of Nirankar, as we were not eligible for it. We should always be thankful to him under all circumstances.

4) Rev. Sanyokta Powari Ji: Shared a story of a goat and a lion. A goat was running to save her life from a lion chasing after her. She was very scared and was running very fast to get away that she accidentally fell in a quick sand. Following her, the lion also fell into it, as he fell, the goat starts laughing at the lion. Lion questions the reason for her laugh since few minutes ago she was scared, afraid, crying, and asking for mercy from him. Goat replies that she will be saved at the end of the day when her owner will come looking for her and save her out of there but you don't have any owner who will be worrying for you and save you. Similarly when we surrender to our Lord Master he saves us at every foot step. We need to have full faith. We are blessed to have an "owner" (our Satguru) who is watching over us 24/7. We have nothing to worry about. Our Lord Master has bestowed so much kindness on us and we don't' know when and what karma has pleased him that he has taken us under his shelter.

5) Rev. Ashwani Madhok Ji: Shared that the spring has sprung, this year it truly feels like spring having no snow or rain during this time around. Walt Disney built a theme park where he vision it to be very clean. As you are visiting the theme park you realize how they scoop the mess before it reaches the ground. Goodness doesn't grow as illness. In our lives we get opportunity that we get blessings of our Guru, to spring clean the mess in our life regardless of any seasons. He cleanses us as we go forward in our lives. Spring in our life is due to blessing of our Lord Master. One who comes to Satsang, it automatically cleans their lives.

6) Rev. Meenu Ji: Shared a beautiful song in which the message was, let there be fragrance all over, such be the garden there on this world. "na dukhaiye dil kisi da, hai mang saiyan kardo sansaar is tarah da." Never be a reason to break anyone's heart, but always help heal other hearts.

7) Rev. Daya Singh Ji: Nowhere you can learn what you learn in Satsang. The practice of this world is "tit for tat". However, our Satguru teaches us intentions of forgiveness. Someone spit the face of Mahatma Buddha, his follower noticed and questioned Mahatma Buddha that why didnt he react to such an act. Mahatma Buddha replied that you will see in time the reason why. The following day the same man came back and asked Mahatma Buddha for forgiveness. He embraced him. Afterwards Mahatma Buddha explained his deciple that when the man came and spit on him, he was full with hatred, and showed it by spitting but today since I didn't react he is able to change. Life is to love not to hate. Our love and respect towards our Guru we neglect. we forget His directions in order to accommodate the formalities of this world. To fall on ones feet is an attribute of the one who is courageous and wise and not everyone has such quailities. We should lead by actions and abide by His guidelines.

8) NY Metro Bal Satsang: Seeked blessing in form of a song by Holy Avtar Bani: "tu data ae sab ton vadda, ki koi sifat kare sarkar."

9) Rev. Madhu Ji: Sang a beautiful song, "jidha sanu dasiya udan simran karan, saare bolo tu hi nirankar."

10) Rev. Shamma Ji: In 1949 China officially became communist country. Mao Zedong ruled for many years. In 1961. at Guangzhou conference, Deng uttered what is perhaps his most famous quotation: "I don't care if it's a white cat or black cat. It's a good cat so long as it catches mice." This was interpreted to mean that being productive in life is more important than whether one follows a communist or capitalist ideology. Similarly, we treat all the same regardless of it's gender, color, race, nationality, cast, etc. We should always remember that the same soul resides in my fellow being and I need to give respect and treat everyone equally. We need to accept His well as is and continue to walk on the path of sprituality.

11) Rev. Ashok Wahi Ji: Shared in 2001 he went to India and visited his cousin's house, where it was bollywood songs were playing on the television, "nNeele gagan ke tale, dharti ka payar pale" while listening to this song Ashok Ji realized that the lyricst has used "hey neele gagan ke tale" line repeatedly and shared with his cousin that the lycrist has put so much mileage on this one line. Due to this statement his cousin sister asked him, have you taken Gyan? What don't you understand? The earth is perishable. Part of this song is "nadiya ka pani dariya se milkar sagar kee or chale." Ashok Ji asked his cousin sister you are explaining this song in such a manner, have you received Gyan? His sister replied "No, my turn has not come yet." At this he was surprised how she has been relating all lyrics to Gyan without seeking God's knowledge amazed him. It is merely Satguru's mercy to choose one and reveal to this truth. He also shared one of the most potent and consequential words in American history,"Liberty, Freedom, persuit of happiness." This is also an on going process. When we come to the feet of our Holy Master the happiness is assured.

Blessing from the stage by Rev. Meena Pandey Ji: Blessed the congregation by explaining Holy Avtar Bani verse 105 "gurusikh de bulla te hardam guru di kahani rahe, pyar dilan vich naam zuban te ehdi eh zindagani reahe, gurusikh guru di ankh naal vehke, guru de kan naal sunda ey, gurusikh gyan sarovar vichon here moti chunda ey, guru di murat maan vich vase dil vich parupakar rahe, har vele har haal de andar jure guru naal taar rahe, sikh guru da taak maya nu argiz tapla khaye na, kahe avtar sikh satguru bajon kise nu lekhe laye na." One who has master don't ever fear. Satguru today is expecting us to being quality in our lives. She met a person on her travels and started a conversation about God. Upon asking the gentlemen when do you think Jesus Christ will come to Earth. The man replied cloulds will burst, and bells and whistle will start ringing on itself that will be the sign of His arrival. One who seen is in a better position to explain this instead of the one who reads about it. A person who practices and surrenders will see the result. We should have faith in ourselves first. There are two words- Vishwas and Bharosa. We need to have Bharosa on our Satguru to keep ourselves free from worries. In 1971 she got the opportunity to travel with Baba Gurbachan Singh ji. Upon reaching back to the airport Baba Hardev Singh was Gurusikh at the time, himself help to give Meena ji a ride home and upon finishing this sewa he asked for permission to leave from Meena ji. This is a perfect example of humility, respect, and care that a true devotee must acquire. Guru is equavision, treats everyone with the same respect. One who is saint does not shed his saintlyness even if he around bad company. Mine is only God's and no one else, like Meera ji, we should have Guru in our mind and hearts. She shared upon receiving God's knowledge she stopped worshiping Mataji right away. Her mother fond out and told her that she was doing wrong with this faith in Nirankar and she is insulting Mata by this doing. After this she fell really sick and had to get admitted a hospital where at night she saw someone next to her was passed away and had a curtain  between themselves. She woke up by hearing "let's take out all the jewelry from our mom's body" While failing to do this deed they decided to cut their mom's leg and other body parts to take out the jewelry from her body. Hearing this woke her up and with this she took the Iv out from her system and went outside in the hallway and sat on a bench. She was shivering with fever and fear that she saw a doctor doing its rounds in the wards and questioned her presence in the hallway instead of her bed. She explained what was wrong inside. The doctor brought her inside of her room and gave her proper treatment all night. By early morning she felt better and upon the nurse's arrival Meena ji shared that she saw a doctor who was on round last night that cured her illness. The nurse announced that there was no doctor on duty the night before and she must have seen a dream. At this time Meena ji was sure that Satguru came or sent a doctor in his form or was present himself there to give her care all night. After this she got discharged and was sent him. This experience strengthen her faith further and assured her that Satguru/Nirankar is her saviour and no one else. Gurusikh doesn't get tricked by the materialistic things. Their biggest believe is that they don't get too happy when attain more in life or get worried when at a lose.

Dhan Niankar Ji!
