Nirankar hai guna ton ucha aape har gun wala a,

Har ek sheh de ander reh ke har ek sheh ton bala a.

 

Apni khed eh aape jane apni khed banaye aap,

Apni hasti aap eh samjhe apna aap janaye aap.

 

Apni marzi pargat howe apni aap lukaye aap,

Aap lagaye aape tore aap banaye dhahe aap.

 

Eko aap hai apne warga zaat jihdi lasani a,

Aap jism te aape rooh a sab jana da jani a.

 

Eko surat rang anekaan sara tana bana aap,

Aap samunder aape lehraan kanda aap muhana aap.

 

Ranga rangi kudrat ehdi aise khed khilari a,

Kahe avtaar jo iss nu samjhe usdi mehima niyaari a.

 

One  THOU FORMLESS ONE  111

(TRANSLATION IN PROSE BY REV. AMRIK SINGH JI) 

 

The Formless God is above all qualities, and yet has all the qualities in Him;

He is present in every object, and yet aloft every object.

 

He Himself knows about His game, He Himself plans it;

He Himself knows His true entity, He Himself reveals His real self.

 

He manifests Himself whenever He is so pleased, and conceals Himself as and when He wishes so;

He Himself plants and uproots; He Himself constructs and dismantles.

 

He is the only one of His kind; His entity is matchless;

He Himself is the body as well as the soul, He is the life source of all living beings.

 

He is One entity manifest in many forms; He Himself constitutes the entire network of the universe;

He Himself is the ocean, the waves, the bank, the oarsman.

 

All the multifaceted nature is His own; He Himself has displayed this game (of the universe);

Avtar says, great is the glory of that person who understands Him (the Formless God).
