ज़िन्दगी को करीब से तो देखिए
कबी इसे नज़र ए हबीब से तो देखिए

भ्रम है हक़ीक़त है फ़साना है सच है
ख़ुद में उतरकर रीझ से तो देखिए

आँखों से नज़र आता नहीं है यह माजरा
रूह ए दीदार रूह ए दीद से तो देखिए

होगी दरूसत नज़र ए वक्त भी ए अज़ीज़
वक्त को वक़्त के मजीद से तो देखिए।

“मस्त” हश्र ए बशर है बशर के हाथ भी
मौसम ए गुल ओ अबीब से तो देखिए।

अबीब = वसंत का महीना
मजीद = गौरवशाली , शानदार

Look at life closely

Look at it with the eyes of the beloved
