SUB: 2024 WORLD REFUGEES DAY, DONATE/PLANT A TREE CAMPAIGN:
Greetings from Greening Uganda. By this mail, we’re writing to invite you to join & participate with us supporting our 2024 World Refugees Day 20th June 2024 Tree Planting Campaign. In this campaign, we plan to plant 100,000 trees in Refugees Schools under our Green Schools Project https://greening.bio/Projects/Tree_Planting_Project_In_Schools, and Community Tree Planting https://greening.bio/Projects/Community_Tree_Planting_Projects planting both fruits for food and nutrition, wood for biomass, 95% of refugees use firewood and charcoal for cooking, ornamentals to provide shade in community and schools and medicinal for community herbal and natural medicine. Uganda has been home to refugees since 1940.
This comes as a response to Climate Change, to address the increasing heat waves, rough storms, prolonged droughts, more trees will be able to provide the most needed conducive atmosphere for the communities identified above.

When we plant trees they will help in carbon sequestering by capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and transforming it into biomass through photosynthesis.
