Yeah, the BtoR list has been getting quite a lot of spam lately, much
more than the actual useful volume of traffic in fact. Gmail has
become confused and now sends about half the legitimate mail from BtoR
to my spam folder :-(

Is there something we can do about this? I know members only posting
is a bit obnoxious but maybe it's better than the ratio of about 10:1
spam to real messages which we've had lately. Or maybe there is some
other config which can be adjusted?

I have just changed the way that new members are to be added. Now
people have to request to join the group, I know it is a pain in the
butt, however it needs to be done. Also new members posts are
moderated as well. This is another step to reduce spam. I am sure
these people will find new innovative ways to piss us all off but
hopefully this will reduce the amount of spam that gets posted here.
