I'll CC this to blender-translation list.

We have translation branches at http://code.google.com/p/blender-translation/

I think we can set a limitation, e.g, one branch can be merged only if it has completed at least 80% translations.

And the not-ready branches will not be a candidate in the release.

Hi,

As a translator for sv_SE (Swedish as spoken in Sweden), I would just like
to confirm that my understanding of the effects of the merge are correct:
Only the translations that are declared by the translators to be finished
will be included in the merge to trunk, and the translators will have to
request that their translation be included in trunk later.

Is this correct?

Additionally, once the translations are finished for whichever release and
in trunk, will there be some way for the translators to commit updates to
the translation in trunk? Is there any plan for how this will be managed?

Regards, Davis

Hi,
I think 80% is OK.

In the other hand, How are going to be checked the translations ?. I
mean we should reach a progress point (80%) but with good (checked)
translations, if not, the people will think that this is a worthless
work and blender a bad quality program.

Dear all,

80% is acceptable to cover most basic functions in interface for normal user. I hope each local language team could try to find more people to help to review the translation. For Chinese batch we put the test build into the community forum and request users feedback, meanwhile we have 4 advanced users to walkthrough the translated interface. Please try to find more people to share your load and cross review the works. I believe there wont happen something like poor translated local version, there just no need hurry to plan all the language POs into the same next release(2.60).

Take your and keep this up blender heads! J
