Hi All,

Due to the discuss in last week's iRC meeting, the translation rep will now be moved from Google Code to Blender.project for further maintenance. The new host site will be:

Please share me your user account in project.blender.org and the language you are working for. We will still have the same folders structure like what we did in Google Code, like each translator will work in each branches.

Appreciate for all your hard working and support for the last two months on blender's i18n project! The first three language will be put into the incoming release and they are: Spanish, Japanese and Chinese! For the rest language once they ready we will put them into production soon too.

Cheers mate! ^^

Hi all,

Here's the notes from today's meeting:

1) Blender 2.60 release

- The "Navmesh" commit was using a fake modifier for 3d window
drawing. Campbell made a fix to not need this anymore: http://codereview.appspot.com/5241048
Review by Brecht/Sergey was OK. Campbell: please add monday latest.
Sergey can help testing.

- Brecht has completed the Change Log very well already:
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/Release_Notes/changelog_260
But add your work there if it's missing. We also need developer credit
list!

- Regression files from 2.57 are still valid to check:
http://download.blender.org/demo/test/test257.zip
Or from svn:
https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-blender/trunk/lib/tests

Files should be checked well... there are some old .blends that only
work partial.

- Question for Campbell: do you still have autotest for import/export
features?

- Release Candidate test for OSX users: please check it well! (gcc 4.6
OMP fix)

- Nathan Letwory helped moving the i8n from Google code to
projects.blender.org, bf-translations.
The .po files will get linked to bf-blender svn, similar to bf-
extensions

- We wait for tuesday to define a final "Release Ahoy" date... but if
no showstoppers are found it could be thursday!

- Ethan Luo mentioned todo item: User Preferences option to choose/set
different font (file). Required for Nepalese.

- Release todo: check names in wiki and tracker, to use 2.6x instead
of 2.5x.

2) Other projects

- Still reviewers needed for branch merger candidates 2.61!
  http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Doc/Projects

(And add your branches there if they are ready)

- Target for 2.61: longer ID names, bones/vgroups names, file paths

Thanks,

-Ton-

Hi Gabriel,

I have moved the latest PO to bf-translation. Please try to checkout them from bf-translation and start working there now. Will close Google Code once everything are done. :)

Hi Ethan,

I have some doubts now that you announced the moving of the translation rep.
Should I keep translating from Google Code and it'll be automatically merged to bf-rep, or I should do it directly from there now?

Thanks!

ok, I have another one.
I've just tested to commit something to bf-translation, and to my surprise it asked me no login or password. The commit seemed ok, but, is it right this way?

I didn't see you have make the commit success as there showed only 2revision, both updated by me.
It will ask your user name and password for it to get process.

I just have checked out the files from
http://projects.blender.org/projects/bf-translations/
In the previous repository i could see many folders for different languages.
But now i only see:

es_UY fr ja zh_CN

So where do i find the partial german translation which was originally
checked in to
the google repository ? And where do i committ my changes ?

cheers,
gaia

hi, i reported earlier about wrong translation of umlauts.
But i have to correct my observation as follows:

It looks like capital umlauts are not correctly handled.
i.e. the letters "ÜÖÄ" get transformed to "UOA" at any location
in the string. (while the letters "üöä" get displayed as expected.)

Apologize for my mistake.
cheers,
gaia

Hi Ethan,
I have been sometime offline and I have missed something, I am "a
bit" lost. I would like if you can give me any indications.

I was commiting changest to es_ES on code.google.com, but since the
migration to svn.blender.org, I don't know how to commit the changes.
I mean, I can get the svn trunk of blender and edit the es.po file,
but when I try to commit the user/password I used to use on
code.google.com doesn't work.
What I have to do to get the credentials to svn.blender.org ?. The
changes are commited directly to trunk or are there other branch to
uncompleted translations ?

Thanks Forehand

Hi Rafael:

You have to checkout and commit to https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-translations/branches/es_ES/ directory instead.
