Hey all, just looking for some advise on what works best for you guys. i am just starting out at AOS and awaiting the new book! What weapon load-outs do you usually run and are they circumstantial. e.g. iron fists may work better for bigger monsters or heavily armoured units due to mortal wounds ? Or is having the chance for double attacks a better bet? Let me know how they have worked out for you.

I want to make a punching character but I am unsure if using things like power fists or knuckles fall under this fatality. Do these weapons fall under the iron fist or big leagues perk? Thanks in advance.

Today, members of the Japan Self-Defense Force and U.S. Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit completed the first Japan-based Iron Fist exercise. Iron Fist is an annual exercise designed to increase interoperability and strengthen relationships between the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Navy, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. This iteration of Iron Fist included ships from the JMSDF for the first time, which conducted rehearsals and integration with the 31st MEU and 1st Amphibious Rapid Deployment Regiment throughout the exercise.

Iron Fist 23 demonstrated the strengthening of bilateral response capabilities with the JMSDF through conducting combined amphibious operations including counter-piracy and search and rescue operations. The JMSDF tank landing ship JS Osumi (LST-4001) and the America Amphibious Ready Group swapped landing craft, air cushions, conducted combined amphibious reconnaissance, and performed a combined amphibious landing on the island of Tokunoshima during the exercise.

The final integrated event was an amphibious landing at Okinawa between the JMSDF, JGSDF, and U.S. Marines and Sailors, which simulated a combined response to provide security in a crisis. Among several tactical activities, this event featured a bilateral mass casualty evacuation scenario.

The mass casualty evacuation scenario began with a simulated emergency medical evacuation request in the Camp Hansen training area. Casualties were transported in a JGSDF ambulance, with U.S. and JGSDF medical personnel performing in-route care, to a helicopter landing zone where they were evacuated by a JGSDF CH-47 helicopter from the JS Osumi for a higher echelon of care aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA-6).

Although the following moves are affected by the Ability, they currently cannot be learned by any Pokémon with Iron Fist. They may, however, be called via Metronome, Mirror Move, Copycat, or Mimic, or be used by a Pokémon that gained Iron Fist by an Ability like Trace or Receiver or a move such as Skill Swap or Role Play.

There is an expression in Spanish Puño de hierro, mandíbula de cristal whose English translation is iron fist, crystal jaw. But that doesn't make sense to an English person (I suppose) because I used that in a conversation with a native English speaker and she did not understand. English is not my first language so I don't know the correct equivalent.

That expression refers to a person who can insult others (thus "iron fist" which means that he can hit someone easily) but the same person in question can't bear it when someone else insults him (thus "crystal jaw" which can mean that when someone hits them, their jaw easily breaks).

Both are boxing expressions, and combining the two would be easily understood by anyone that is more than casual acquaintance with boxing, and by many with just a casual acquaintance (the iron in Iron Mike Tyson referred to his punching ability).

Ostensibly, the Shoguns were generals ruling in the Emperor's name. In reality they were dictators, backed up by ruthless military force. While the dynasty lasted, it gave Japan two-and-a-half centuries of peace imposed on the country with a iron fist. From about 1600 the Shoguns came from a family called Tokugawa, beginning with Ieyasu Tokugawa, who subdued his rivals in battle. The line ended with Yoshinobu Tokugawa, who surrendered his power at the conference table.

In a place called Jungle Village, numerous factions are at war with one another for control, with a lone Blacksmith (RZA) making weapons for them all. When Imperial gold is set to travel through the village, the normal violence reaches new levels, various powerful figures including good and evil brothers, the son of the Lion Clan Leader called the X-Blade (Rick Yune), a devious madam (Lucy Liu), and a mysterious Englishman (Russell Crowe) with a pistol/knife/drill combo in his holster arrive in Jungle Village. Will the Blacksmith stay neutral as the lives of his fellow villagers are put on the line?

RZA's first directorial film, co-written with Eli Roth, The Man with the Iron Fists was in part a tribute to the 70's martial arts films that inspired his old hip-hop conglomerate Wu-Tang Clan. It was released in Fall of 2012, although reportedly this is less than half of what was actually filmed, with RZA having originally intended to release it all as two movies before executive hijinks shot it down. An unrelated Direct to Video sequel was released on DVD and Blu-Ray on April 14, 2015.

Danny Rand's life changed forever as a nine-year-old boy. His father Wendell wanted to search the snow-covered mountains of Asia for a mystical city called K'un-Lun that only appeared on Earth every decade. The elder Rand trained there as a boy but ran away instead of becoming the Iron Fist. Danny's mother Heather insisted that she and the boy accompany his father, along with business partner Harold Meachum.

Rand excelled at training his body to become a living weapon, but he still wanted more. The August Personage of Jade suggested he attempt to become the Iron Fist, a challenge that lead to a near-fatal battle with Shou-Lao, an undying dragon. Upon besting the dragon and gaining his mark upon the chest, Danny entered a chamber where Shou-Lao's heart was kept. Upon plunging his fists into the fiery substance, he pulled them out, glowing with the power of the Iron Fist.

Iron Fist is an incredibly powerful fighter, who studied for a decade under the tutelage of the Thunderer in K'un-Lun. He is a master of all of K'un-Lun's martial arts, along with the combat arts developed on Earth, in addition to being trained in the use of almost all martial arts weapons.

When he concentrates, Danny can harness and channel chi, or spiritual energy, as weapon or a method of healing. When focusing his chi into his fist, he can make it super powerful and amplify its force, along with making it immune to pain and injury. He can also use it to fire destructive blasts.

Driven by revenge over what was done to his family, Danny never forgets his loved ones. Danny's father Wendell spent time in K'un-Lun as a boy, after meeting then-Iron Fist Orson Randall in a remote village. Wendell ran away from the final challenge and returned to Earth where he married his wife Heather and had Danny. However, before leaving K'un-Lun and meeting Heather, Wendell married a woman named Shakirah and had a daughter. This girl, Miranda, later befriends her half-brother at K'un-Lun ,without him knowing of their familial bond.

After his family is killed, Danny Rand is taken in by the people of K'un-Lun, specifically the place's leader: Yu-Ti, the August Personage of Jade. He trains with Lei Kung the Thunderer and a small army of locals, some of whom did not respect the outworlder.

Once on Earth, Iron Fist starts building a family of friends that includes investigators Misty Knight and Colleen Wing. He and Knight develop a romantic relationship that lasts for much of their friendship. Before long, he also befriends Luke Cage, AKA Power Man, and joins forces with him in Heroes for Hire. After setting up shop in New York, Rand meets fellow martial artists the Sons of the Tiger, and also becomes an ally of Daredevil and Spider-Man.

Meachum, however, was a shell of his former self. Not only had he lost his legs in the mountains a decade ago, but he also knew that Rand had made it to K?un-Lun and would soon come for vengeance. Instead of killing the man, Iron Fist walked away, only to have a mysterious ninja jump in on the action and run Meachum through with a sword.

Danny stayed with Colleen Wing and her father Professor Lee Wing while trying to find a new direction. He soon learned that he owned part of Rand-Meachum, Inc. along with Harold?s daughter Joy. Instead of diving into the corporate world, though, Danny decided to join Luke Cage and his Heroes for Hire. By this time, he?d also started an on-again, off-again relationship with former police officer Misty Knight.

Together, Power Man and Iron Fist became not only business partners, but incredibly close friends. They took on everything from illegal gambling and real-world street crime, to Super Villains like Master Khan, Constrictor, and Sabretooth. During this time, they also continued to work with allies like Misty Knight and Colleen Wing?s Daughters of the Dragon, the Sons of the Tiger, and other costumed heroes like El Aguila and White Tiger.

The first incarnation of Heroes for Hire came to an end when Danny was diagnosed with cancer and then replaced with an evil clone by the H?ylthri. Captain Hero killed the clone, but Luke Cage was framed for the crime and went on the run.

Unbeknownst to the rest of the team, Danny had put a plan into motion after Onslaught that would bind K?un-Lun to Earth and set up a new world order with the Dragon Kings ruling and the Heroes for Hire acting as a version of the Round Table. However, with the heroes reborn, Iron Fist saw the error of his ways and intended to stop the union.

Danny lost his Iron Fist power to Junzo Muto, who kept it until Rand teamed up with Wolverine, Psylocke, Luke Cage, Sunspot, and others to stop the villains? reign. In the process, Rand died for a brief time, which halted the joining of K?un-Lun and Earth.

Danny would regain the power of the Iron Fist when the Black Dragon restored it, but also brainwashed Danny into becoming his own evil agent. After a brawl with Black Panther, T?Challa healed Danny and the pair teamed up to stop the Black Dragon?s plans to invade Wakanda. Danny also regained control of his company around this time.
