yep, edu forge is a pretty good resource allright. I'm currently
looking at the NZ project eXe which I sent you guys a couple of days
ago. Its on the eduforge site. eXe is pretty slick you know, I think
you should look at it. NZ seems to have a big pressence on
eduforge and OSS hey.
But I think eduforge is for experienced users of the Internet. Perhaps
it would be a good development base for us, but the end product would
have to be much much simpler... something like no more than 3 menu
options per screen, navigation no deeper than 2 or 3 levels, media rich
content before text based content, etc.
How are we going to progress this project? Michael is working on the
How to Blog in Drupal... I'm continuing with screencasts, Sean is
searching, researching, etc.
As a suggestion, perhaps we could all start documenting our actions and
findings with audio, screencasts, a forum, skype recordings.... I am
still waiting on a new computer, but soon as it arrives the first thing
I'm going to do is record Skype interviews with you guys and your
contacts. I think that a list of MP3Casts of these interviews would
help us to think about focus areas more, and serve as a good
introduction for our audience. I would perhaps ask these questions:
1. Who are you what do you do?
2. What tools do you use for blended teaching and learning?
3. What areas interest you at the moment, what direction are you heading?
4. What advice would you give to a newby?
But where are we heading? in who's car? Who sits where?
