We made some changes late last night to help roll back some security settings. Can you respond to let me know if it is helping or not?
The problem we face is two fold. Google, along with the culture of the Internet, continue to move forward in terms of security and privacy. Because of this forward motion, eventually older devices and operating system become obsolete. For example, Google no longer permits app developers to make calls out to Internet sources through insecure channels. This means that all Internet traffic must be made to SSL enabled sites. This is something that we've been doing for some time. The issue we are facing today is that as we are forced to make updates to server hardware and software, older technologies and methodologies get left behind, and sometimes there is little or nothing we can do about it.
As many of our users know, Blue Letter Bible tries as hard as possible to keep legacy support available as long as possible, but sometimes we're forced to maker a move. Wit that said, we'll try as hard as we can to see if this recent rash of problems is resolvable by us, with the help and support of wonderful users.
