Dear  Timothy ,

We are only three days away from the 13th Annual Triangle VisionWalk! The best researchers in the world are working to find treatments and cures for sight-robbing retinal diseases. The focus of the Foundation Fighting Blindness is to support this research, with your help.

On walk day, our Triangle VisionWalk Committee wants to invite you to join in on something special to give each of our teams the opportunity to WALK A MILE in the shoes of those family members and friends who are affected by these diseases.

Walk a Mile in their Shoes

We would like each of the Team Captains to invite someone on their team to walk the first half of VisionWalk while wearing a blindfold, assisted by other team members if needed. The Walk Committee will provide the blindfolds, available at the Resource Tent.

This is an opportunity to get people talking, and to give some of our walkers just a small glimpse of a few of the challenges faced by a person who is losing, or has lost, their vision.  We hope they'll gain a greater understanding of how difficult it sometimes is to navigate the world we live in, and the challenges that people with vision loss face every day.  This is an optional exercise, but we hope you will take part.

We are well on our way to reaching our $121,000.00 goal, and with a good effort over the next few days, we should have our thermometer overflowing!

Your Los Angeles VisionWalk VisionWalk team is here and ready to help you every step of the way! We look forward to working with you, please call us or e-mail with any questions you have.

Sincerely,

Liz O'Connell
